I'm not that well up on these boxes but is it one of the ones that can be flashed with OpenElec (thereby removing Android)?

S905 is only a new chip, (It's the new version/upscale of the S805), so it probably will be possible, but hasn't happened yet (that I know of).

Hi guys, just a silly from a very unsavvy tech person. What do these boxes do, are they the same as getting a stream on your laptop and pluging into your telly but without the hassel? My brother was offered a droidstar titan t8 android smart TV box and a mouse for 100e, how could he use it?

Geekbuying are going for quite a while.
They are bigger in the U.S. and that's their target market. Europe is kind of an afterthought.
All of those reviews could apply to any Chinese store - Although I'm not a fan of Geekbuying either.
But at the price I went for it. If they take too long, I'll put in a Paypal dispute.

None of the Chinese sites are reliable/trustworthy. Or I've yet to find one that is.
Everyone will have problems at some stage if they use them (often).

All the Chinese sites are brutal. Weirdly it seems to work the opposite of here.
The sites here are more trusted and the ebay sellers not so much.
Aliexpress sellers are more trusted Chinese sites not so much.
