I have a TURCO brand oil boiler with a Bentone BF1 burner. It is 5 years old and it is always going to Lockout and needs to be restarted. It can go a few months in summer without this happening but when weather gets cold then constant cycling causes frequent shutdowns. Now it has gone in to a different shutdown. The manual…

This thread was very helpful in troubleshooting the same error code. Extraneous light from a Siemens controller #4. In my case this is a Maxon burner for a Probat coffee roaster. The only sensor in the burner is a flame rod. The above conversation had me thinking the whatever your burner sensor configuration, the burner is sensing flame which will prevent ignition. Swapped the flame rod out and alarm code gone. Thanks!
