    Episode 3 is up: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=99256190&postcount=62

Would like to get the PPV up this weekend, but I am realistic enough to know that that may be a stretch. If an extension could be allowed, then that would be great :)

Haven't had a chance to do any writing this week because I was literally working 12 hour shifts and sleep overs for the last 11 days. I finished work at 9 tonight and hope to do some writing, probably working backwards from my pay per view. If I miss the deadline, apologies.

When is the deadline supposed to be today or tomorrow, I would be in favour of an extension for sure.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

It was going to be tomorrow but there will be an extension.

I haven't gotten a chance to read anything for a while now but I'm hoping to jump back into reading stuff over the next few day and as stated after I make the extension official tomorrow there will also be an extra day or two allocated to give folk time to read shows (then I will pm everyone looking for votes).

I usually give feedback on a couple of shows at a time after I read em. That said I think the show im currently on is beakerjoe's 2nd show (3rd evaluation post) which is mid page 2 on the evaluation thread to give you an idea on how far behind I am atm. Thats one positive on writing early you can get more feedback and potentially adjust plans accordingly. that said generally people aren't negative about anything.

Oh seeing as I mentioned the voting (how we vote will be explained here and in the mentioned pm before then) above 1 category we use in the slammies is best new draft participant, so just incase my guesses are incorrect it might be an idea to out yourself as 1st year drafters if you are here.

If I remember right there was 6 new drafters. Im one and I know PTH was another. Stereo I think was a first timer too. DM7 maybe as well

Apologies lads :( Im now gonna have to vote for one of ye as best newcomer. Only way to settle who gets my vote is a fight to the death

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Pretty sure DM took a year out last year but was involved before when he was DM-ICE.

It seems Lee, PTH, Stereo, Cheese, Necro, paulie & Hulk will be competing for that Slammy

    Edit: cheers Joe

More in that category than usual this year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Paulie and hulk are new too iirc

    Re:extension

New deadline - Friday April 8th, with another 2 days on top of that to allow time to read. (at the very least try and read peoples PPVs, many have recaps of the shows)

Vote - On Sunday April 10th I will send you all a pm with the categories to vote for, 3 main ones (Best Roster, Best Shows, Overall Winner) which combined will see a winner crowned and then the individual slammies (thanks LTSC for sending me the categories)

Im gonna have to skip episode #4 :( Just not gonna have time to do it. Will definitely get a PPV in though. Possibly Wednesday or Thursday. I know exactly how I want all my matches to play out so thats not a problem. Lesson definitely learned for next year though to get as much writing done as early as possible! And sad as it is I have an epic storyline planned for next year already :pac:

With that extension I'll hold off on posting my PPV card and see if I feel like writing a full show. I'll still just post whatever I've already written for show 3 & and a bullet point version for 4, probably in the next few hours.

That makes me smile, brilliant stuff Brad :)

Here's Episode 3. I had pretty much all of that written about 10 days ago, there's a few matches still incomplete but the important parts are all there.

    Feedback:

    Uncle Walt - (Mayhem Rising)
I thought for a second this was your PPV but I was pleased to learn you are planning MayhemMania. Sasuke's attack was a nice heel move and I liked the promos from Dynamite and others which built up your big matches throughout the show. Russo's interaction with Linda was well done and I liked Russo referring to her and Steph as 'bro'. I also liked the touch of Linda referencing Russo's time with the magazine and her role in that. I get a kick out of the statuesque Chyna character too and I like that it's closer to her 1997 character than the later version. Storm winning the Legends Title was cool and with Malenko not involved in the decision it makes a rematch between them fresh, if that's the plan. Freebirds winning was the right call I think as the RNR Express would be better chasing it. I liked how you booked the final two matches and it seems HBK vs Punk is your direction which should be epic. I also look forward to how Dynamite deals with the pain of the loss. Great read again.

My dad passed away on Monday night after a tough few years so I won't be doing much more on this. I've got my 3rd show 95% done so I'll post that, then I might copy & paste whatever bullet points I've got for show 4 and post a PPV card for the sake of it.

My sympathy to you and your family A Brad Maddox Guy

I would welcome an extension too please

    Feedback:

    Necrominus (preview show) -
The PPV Preview was a fun read and I liked the announcement of the ladder match stip for the main event which gives the match some extra spice. Also nice to learn the story behind your choice of username as I wondered about that, ha.

    ShagNastii (show 1) -
Men on a Mission got a big win and you set up a bit of intrigue over whether Mabel will get what he wants or be rejected. The Graves/Beefcake segment built interest well and I like they are on a collision course. I enjoyed Luther Ward’s introduction and Vince’s confused reactions to him made me laugh. Swagger’s character interests me and you presented him strong here. The ending was really fantastic. You introduced Sting brilliantly and left me eager for the next episode. Speaking of which…

    ShagNastii (show 2) -
Getting to use Trump certainly kicked off this episode in style. I liked the set-up for Ward and Swagger and good to see Big Daddy V on board with Sex Panther. The DQ finish for Ward/Swagger I think was the right call as it’s too early for a real finish. I love Swagger getting a big push on your promotion. The ending was again great stuff and I’m very much digging Sting and Warrior together once again.

I'm hoping to get through the remaining shows I haven't read yet and give feedback as I go. Starting to make my shortlist of slammie winners too going on last years categories.

    Paulie PCW :
I'm a fan of Honky Tonk Man getting to the semi finals, he was always one of my favs so happy to see him advance. Bearer and Gonzlaez are a good pairing and feuding with Sarge is a good storyline move. Lou Thesz and Greg Valentine is an interesting pairing and them vs Cade n Murdoch has potential. Love Honky smashing the guitar over Kennedy, really got him over. Didn't see Rock going out so that was a shock, but it furthers the feud nicely. Rock and his family vs Kishi and his boys is a nice dream feud.

    PTH2009 Carnage :
Arnie as GM is a smart move and I liked that Owens was left out, gives him a great big chip on his shoulder (or inflates the one already there). Truth v Jimmy is an interesting feud and Bo as ref can bring all sorts of hilarious possibilities. Public Enemy went over huge and you have one hell of a violent tag division. Very intrigued to see who beat up poor Joey Abs and Rhyno was portrayed nicely in his victory over Neville.

The main event was a nice way to set up things going forward. owens standing tall is what I would want to see and Gangrel looks like he is recruiting a new brood I'm guessing. I'm very interested to see how everything plays out.

    BH WP :
Nice intro cataloguing your feds draft history and I loved Heenans line about the opening match where his family would grow or begin a winning streak, made it out like a win win situation, smart move. The ending transitions well for the family, with Barry cheating to win and thus being a perfect fit for the family. Having Killer and The Von Erichs seniors go over was the right call going forward and it would be a nice multi man match to kick off the show. Your Von Erichs are so different from mine hahaha. Heenan

Patterson had...just had to get the win, after all that George put him through, there was no other outcome and I'm glad GG got his just desserts. The Gory/Aja match was very well booked, and Ive never seen a match like it, even from the original latino heat. Very clever, creative and most of all fresh so well done there

Sami will be fine without a mask so the loss for El generic makes sense, though I still didn't want him to lose. El Santo seems to have fully turned and he would be a strong heel going forward. American Alpha vs Tully and Arn would be a great match no doubt (similar to AA's match with the revival at dallas. The Brainbusters winning makes sense and the loss wouldn't hurt AA at all losing to two greats. And the win furthers Heenans family dominance. And I would love one of us to further THe Horsemen / Brainbusters feud next year.

Bryan and brocks promos were great and really made one final push to make both look like strong contenders for the win (not that either needed it). Kharma winning made sense, though I always felt that Brie was out of place in the feud considering how she is portayed with Bryan, but that's a minor issue.I loved Rick Rudes pre match promo, it was pure Rude. Rude is one of my favs and I loved writing for him in my first draft, so happy I was to see him win. Muta looked strong in defeat but Rude being a top guy would make more sense to elevate him going forward no matter what happens in the main event. Rude v Brock in a face turn or v Bryan works either way.

Loved the Brock v Bryan match, and it has to not only push your show into a winning position but that match could be a winner of best match too. Loved The Brock summerslam gif too btw, been ages since I seen that. I loved the set pieces throughout, esp the shooting star press by brock, which would not only be a great sight but a sign of Brock needing to pull it out to put away the resilient Bryan. I enjoyed the finish, esp Monsoon stopping Heenan and it would certainly cap off a great PPV. great job BH, You've done a stellar job of defending your crown.

Cheers dude, glad you agreed with the booking decisions, that was one thing not everyone liked (well mostly that I had too many Japanese superstars lose in Japan) about the PPV last year even though it was able to win out.

Finally back reading others shows now too and actually on your 3rd TV show now but first

    beakerjoe show 2:
Cesaro is awesome...that is all. you have kept the high standard up that you set in your preview and show 1 for example EC3 despite being good is simply not on Nakamuras level imo but after there interaction I already kinda wanna see em face off. Zeb is an interesting one, things not going the Von Erichs way since he arrived, could he acutually be JJ Dillon reborn if you get my drift. Martels gimmick should get Tito over when he rebels but I'm curious to see how that happens cos the Martel, Breeze and Zoolander feud seems like money Breeze in particular was really good (funny) here. Your divas are starting to pait off and logically too with Emma/Bailey, Becky/Del Ray (one would assume) and now Sasha and Rousey which is huge although it'll be hard outside of cheating to see how Sasha can win.

    ABMG show 2:
PPV level matches as your tournie semis make for good reading here. RVDs intercontinental title situation seems and interesting dynamic with 2 very different challengers after him in Fandango and Matt Hardy. Poor Mr Microphone, like your attack storyline and waiting for what I assume will be a surprise reveal but I must say im also curious to see where you are going with your Miz / Sandow replica belt angle...glad to hear you did more shows in the end.
