Just under 6 sec to 100 km, not a big difference to stock. Probably pulls much better after 100 than stock alright but I expected it to be a lot quicker at around 340bhp, or is that stock?

Yeah, I'd say the main gains would be noticed with in gear acceleration rather than 0 to 60. I'd also agree that pushing an engine that hard that's not at optimal temperature won't go well for it's longevity.

I've had my mapped 330e from 0-60 at 5.1. that's having Goodyear F1 asymmetric 2. I've now moved away from run flats. And I've now fitted Goodyear F1 Super Sports. So I'd expect more grip and a lot 0-60 time

Couldn't think of correct thread for this but here goes.....

    Husband:
    My wife is missing.
She went out yesterday and has not come home...

    Sergeant at Police Station:
    What is her height?

    Husband:
Gee, I'm not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

    Maybe dark brown now.
    I can’t remember.

    Sergeant:
    What was she wearing?

    Husband:

She's up for sale lads :(.

    http://www.adverts.ie/21868032

Don't expect to actually get a buyer but sure God loves a trier. Why am I selling? Number of reasons but mainly covid (have it 4 months and only put 2600 miles on it, and it will only get worse with more lockdowns etc) and change of priorities.

And yes, its up for more than I paid for it but it's still well below main dealer prices. Stunning car, and I don't actually regret buying it. If it's up for 5 months before it gets interest, I don't really care.

Beautiful car, interior photos are excellent. But I don’t think Adverts.ie is the place for it.

Jesus with low mileage it would nearly serve you as a forever car! Although you've mentioned change of priorities maybe you have to sell. Good luck finding a buyer I suppose the manufacturers warranty might help.

I dont know what you paid but im assuming the dealer in north wasnt giving it away but trying to sell something like that privately after only a few months will surely mean losing a chunk of money...
It is a lovely car but hard sell anything in that price range privately.
    Beshoffs might be an option.

could you try approach a dealer and sell it that way? give them a cut Wailin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,446 ✭✭✭Wailin

Yeah that's definitely an option down the line. For now, I'll just leave it sit there for a few months and see if anything happens. It's not critical I sell it quickly at all. My jimny gets driven more because I do a lot of outdoor stuff where mucky gear gets thrown into it, bikes on the back etc and I don't care. I couldn't do that with the bmw it'd be a mess in no time. So coupled with covid it's basically sitting on the driveway. I drive to work in it and that's about it.

That's a real shame Wailin, it's a super car but sometimes there are more important things especially in these strange times. It's definitely a car that would fit into Beshoff's showroom but as said it might be worth approaching the likes of them about selling it on your behalf for a fixed rate or fee.

or would export to uk? I just hope you dont end up sitting on it for months and losing 1k a month on depreciation!

Best of luck with it, being a petrol I reckon you'll find a buyer eventually and I reckon some dealers might make contact also, they won't be offering €40k+ though.

The undesirability of 530d models for many with WFH etc should make yours stand out anyway.

its a lovely car wailin but if you genuinely want to sell it leaving it up for 5 months isnt the way to do it, all that will happen over time is that its value decreases (given its relatively new) be proactive, speak to beshoffs, lewises anyone else in the used high end game and get it sold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,446 ✭✭✭Wailin

I don't mind it depreciating 4-5k over 5 or 6 months. I would lose more trying to sell it through a dealer without a doubt. Zucar (Duffys) offered me 34k for it and I'm not willing to give it away. It's good to know that offer is there if I was desperately trying to get rid of it but I'm not. In 5 months the whole covid scenario could be in a much better situation and I may decide to keep it.

I would definitely agree with this, and that the logic of having it up for more than you paid because the Irish ones are more expensive won't really help you selling it. I tried not to lose any money on my car using similar logic, and 4 months later I've the car at the price it should have been from the start, having said no to a few offers of its current asking price months ago because I was convinced I should be able to get out of it without losing anything! Lesson learned.

This sounds like a classic case of the wife saying "will you sell that car it's just sitting there" but not really wanting to sell, been there my friend!

    But it likely won't, IMO.

thats fair enough if you dont.

Selling on consignment could be a better option? let Beshoffs or similar market it at 45k+ and take 10%

Is it not a case of your car having depreciated that amount over the 4 or 5 months it's been up for sale anyway?
