Went out with the rifle this morning for a early morning fox.theres a fox up there that's been at the pheasants as I've seen 3 kill sites other day. I know the field he's in. Anyway In field for 2 minutes and a woodcock rose up and then another 20 yards down. Then few mins later group of snipe got up in front of me. Little while later one cock pheasant gets up then a hen and another cock pheasant. Sat in the field and called for a while after cursing myself for not bringing shotgun instead. No sign of foxy appearing.
So heading home an a deer runs out. Lovely pricket but sure no licence to shoot em but nice to see all the same. Got in the car and looked up into the fields and saw movement so out the scope on it and there was foxy sniffing in the field I was calling him from.
Always the fûcking way isn't it.
Next time il bring the shotgun and I won't see a fûcking thing.
