I think it's best you don't eat for a while. Given your post on the achievement thread :p

BBC three going online, because fucck Irish viewers.

Just download the Filmon app. Sorted. All the Uk channels and much much more besides.

I'm TA'd that I still pay for Virgin Media or whatever the hell it's called now, because the telly is sitting there off most of the time now.

Another annoying bra-related thing: a sports bra that's become too loose.
I bought a few sports bra back when I joined the gym and they've become so loose now; when I bend forward to do exercises, everyone can see the Mitchell brothers.
I keep hoisting it up but it's time admit defeat; it's time to buy new ones.
The stingy part of me hates it because they were €45 a pop.

    "The Mitchell Brothers". Love it:)

When the handrail on an escalator moves at a slightly different speed to the steps forcing you to adjust your hand halfway up. What a pain in the hole...

OK, my less than a year old car gets written off in a crash yesterday - not a trivial annoyance but the TA is that within 3 minutes of the crash, as I'm walking on very shaky legs to the other car and my car is immobile on the road, another motorist held up as a result leans out his window and says " move that car off the road before it causes another crash".

I don't think I'm hurt - thanks. No, the car won't move, can't be pushed and needs to be lifted by a breakdown truck but I'll magic it out of your way asap. No, don't see if you can help or if anybody needs an ambulance. Don't bother flagging down oncoming traffic.

Then he drives around the wreckage grumbling.

Bought my first fancy phone aka an android last week. I finally got the unlock code today but I can't connect to the wifi at home. Turns out it's a common problem with sony phones. The whole point of getting a fancy phone is so that I can use it at home. It's as good as my brick right now. I'd return it but I spent 25 quid to unlock and i ordered a case on amazon yesterday. :( Might try and sell it online if I can't find a work around. But that's a hell of a lot more hassle than I intended.

Stiff and aching but I'm absolutely fine, as is the other driver. I hope that other guy has a headache today too though. Thanks.

Bad news indeed, to lose a new car like that. And the pain of working thru insurance, getting a new car ordered....more than a TA.

I'm waiting for someone to start a Petty Things That Annoy thread so I can answer "Tom"

    It's only a car. :o

It's a small thing really. It could have been worse. Someone could have been badly injured. I could have had a grandchild or two with me - as had been the original plan that morning. There could have been a dispute as to liability. It could have been my fault.

Typical Irish reaction - Thank God it wasn't worse. As you get older, things like this don't annoy nearly as much as in your youth.

Glad to hear everyone is ok. But still a major pain in the ass. I have had to deal with car accident/insurance people on more than one occasion and it will drive you nuts! My advice for what it's worth (if you haven't had tondo this before)?is, get a good solicitor and let that's handle the whole thing from A to Z.
    Good luck.

I completely understand... the amount of times I've put people on hold with my cheekbones isn't even funny.

That Weetabix ad is on with one weetabix singing about the other weetabix's birthday. He says it's not till January and then realizes it is January. It's February FFS!!!

    Don't know if that's the correct terminology:pac:

Weetabix.....always good to get the ould 'engine' running in the morning!
Two of them and you'll be off to the traps in the office to 'cut some rope' before the morning rush!

If it doesn't work then surely your first move is to return it?

The one good thing I will say about Facebook is that, without it, we wouldn't be as aware as we are of just how moronic so many people out there actually are.

The amount of incredibly dumb sh*t that gets shared and posted by so many people is just beyond baffling.

When you ask someone to be quite because you are trying to listen for a faint sound like a dripping tap or something and before you finish asking them they reply with "I can't hear anything" and then you sshhh them to which they reply, again before you finish "I still can't hear anything"

I know you can't hear anything, you won't shut up.

Very few things more annoying than a bra that fits slightly weirdly or that's digging in somewhere it shouldn't.

Ah memories! After years of being overweight my body, when I came to Ireland actually, decided to go thin so I need no bra as nothing there any more! Bliss! Well I am OLD and it has to have SOME advantages..beanpole here...

Somehow I seem to have developed a bug; bad throat and tending to earache, "Somehow" as I have not been out or near anyone since last Wednesday ie a full week. Bad, bad news as I have M.E and even a cold can ground me for weeks...sigh! Actually have had a bit of a cough for days when I think of it. MADDENING! Nothing I can do except sit it out. DRAT! Is this winter's flu like this?

Jeepers, I do hope it's not the flu, Grace, it's very hard to shrug it off this year... :( You don't have a temperature, too, do you?

    Do get well soon!!

No idea re temperature etc. Chesty cough is all and sore throat. Ah well, nothing I can do. just that the M.E feeds on stuff like this; immune system is down of course so I am careful re shop and never go to Mass any more. Ah well! I have food aplenty etc... Just is that it has taken THIS long to show.. I hold my breath the three days after any outing! lol! Went to my landlords oldest First Communion two years ago and was in bed six weeks. He invited me last year ( he had 4 wee ones) and I had to refuse..what fun!
