Bugger, hard luck, especially when it's been so drawn out. I'm sure better things are just around the corner!

It should be on tonight. :)

TA: That Mastermind and University Challenge are the only proper (i.e. without gimmicks or suspenseful music) quiz shows out there.... I love quizzes and would watch them every day!

Only Connect is good too. (It does have a bit of music, but not too bad. Actually it might be a bit gimmicky. But it's good!).

    For the trivia heads.

    Q. The song "Sylvia's Mother" was. 70's hit for Dr Hook. What was the daughters name in the song?

There's got to be a twist in this, but I'm going to say "Sylvia".

Got it in one. You would be amazed at the amount of people who spend an age trying to figure out the answer:D

Works best in a pub scenario if you know what I mean.

Sigh.. another insurance co refusing to give even a quote after wading through the online forms etc etc etc...gets very demoralising. Need my car... thankfully bedtime here so off to feed the critters and settle in. takes a lot to make me so down but this is a lot... no emoticon for tears?

    Very appropriate for AH:

    Q: Name a dangerous race?
    A: The Arabs!

Waking up at 4/5 in the morning to pee. It's cold, I'm tired and I don't want to! But I won't be able to sleep properly if I don't. Ugh.

Welcome to my world, up at 4.30am Monday to Friday, bladder doesn't recognise the weekend and starts to twitch around 5-5.30am Saturday and Sunday,

Just noticed - when rinsing the carton - that I bought protein milk, which explains why I thought my porridge tasted odd.

The sticky thing on envelopes you have to lick.

1 - It makes me gag

2 - It hardly ever works!!

    Stapler is out.

Oh that reminds me of a trivial annoyance. When you lick an envelope to seal it and realise it's one of the ones you don't need to lick (the ones with the sticky gluey stuff on them) and you've ruined it.

I had a carton of cherry tomatoes and 2 peppers that I was about to bin but I chopped them up with a red onion and threw them in the oven with a bit of oil,I was expecting them to be meh but I swear they were absolutely delicious..TAd when I think about the amount of food that I throw out when I probably could use it up if I put a bit of thought into it.

On the flip side I made scones last night and the recipe must have been wrong..ended up with flat biscuit like things ..we ate them anyway just didnt need to cut them open.:o:pac:
