Very rude there, Jim was naming his three favourite young actresses and Ray spoke over him.

At least wait for a gap in the conversation.

Speaking of Irish film, saw 'Song Of The Sea' today.

    Superb :)

"Brian Clough sold you from Forest before you played a single game, Jim. How did that make you feel?"

Leave Ray alone! He has a wife & kids and has wacky things happen him every day which the country needs to hear. Has Ray mentioned he has a wife and kids?

This'll never work till Zig & Zag are on it.

Which I have a feeling might happen if the ratings suck enough.

Arabic film festival? I can see the crowds flocking to that one......

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

    Lockerbie. What's that about?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

If you know any kids who missed out on One Direction tickets, I believe there might be a few seats left in the Dublin Arabic Film Festival if you are quick.

    They won't notice the difference.

My Left Foot should have been about Liam Brady.

Ray is some man for cutting people off mid sentence.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,594 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

    Jesus, Ray is so blunt!

Listen you must come back when we've more time....as his guest was in mid sentence!

    That's shoddy.

Oh it's so gorgeous. Crazy how more people haven't seen it & just goes to show that unless you have a big company like Disney behind you, it doesn't matter how amazing your film is.

Oh they're talking about it now! It's brilliant though how Cartoon Saloon can produce Oscar nominated movies from a small company in Kilkenny. They're making one with Angelina Jolie next, hopefully that will help give them the recognition they deserve.

Gawd! Ray just seems really impatient with Jim, can't wait to move on to his pre recorded competition snippit... which sounds really stilted and crap btw

Ray closed that off as in "look, would you shut up you drunken rambler. Let me shake your hand. Now f*ck off"

Has it ever happened that somebody wasn't there to take the call for the competition?

    Slightly OT...

I remember the LLS that Sheridan mentioned, it was a typical LLS that ran over by about 20 or 30 mins. I was only visiting the oul fella when he mentioned that the C&W show last week on the LLS (or last nights on housing) would have just been let run on.

Its a sad sign that Tubridyb and D'Arcy don't have the balls to try it.

Just as I write this he says to Sheridan to come back when he has more time. If he was any good he'd keep him on for a bit longer, but he doesn't have the talent to chance booking Sheridan for a longer slot.

    It's very disappointing to watch.

Ray needs to learn to put a bit of emotion into it. It feels like he's a stand in, like the producer or something who had to fill in because the host pulled a sickie or something.

Imagine that, an Irish chat show host who sticks so rigidly to the cue cards that there will never be any flow to the conversation even when it's getting interesting...

Jim can be entertaining. Ray not listening, just ticking off his list of questions.

Woeful stuff....lets get to to the competition and ads...next guest!

Someone should get him to watch old episodes of Parky.

Happened on Moncrieff the other week. Mad bastard left them a voicemail saying they would have won a grand if they'd answered the bleedin phone!
