Each week in FPL is important. However some weeks are more important. This week the defensive wonder of Tony Pulis pits himself against the world's 2 best players. Good vs Evil to put it simply.

Pulisball in one corner. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez in the other. I know who's legend will longer in the memory and which cult will make the breakthrough to become a fully fledged FPL religion.

    EQfYHSu.jpg?1

So as many of us gather in the house of Pulisball and put our faith in the one constant in this game let us sing together:

    "Take Me To Pulisball"

    "My Pulis' got humour
He's the giggle at a clean sheet
    Knows everybody's disapproval
    I should've worshipped him sooner

If the Evans ever did speak
    He's the last true McCauley
    Every Sunday's getting more bleak
    A fresh save each week

"We were born clean," you heard them say it

    His church offers no absolutes
He tells me, "Worship in the penalty box."
The only Evans I'll be sent to
Is when I'm alone with no Vardy.

    I was born sick
    But I love it
Command my sheets to be well
    Aaay. Amen. Amen. Amen.

    Take me to church
I'll worship like a Myhill at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
    Offer me that Dawson death
Good Tony, let me give you my life"

Sure there are some other interesting sideshows this week in just how many goals Southampton and Man City can wrack up. Will Dr. Sexy Italian Stallion or Mr BUIB show up? Will Harry Kane score? Will Lukaku do a Lukaku?

But Pulisball vs "Vardez" is the clash that can change one man's world for the better or the worse. As we begin this epic tussle I must nail my colours to the Pulisball mast and hope that good can conquer evil.

Oh Tony, My Tony. Let us fight this good fight together :)

(Yes it's started a little early. No I don't care because I put about 15 minutes work into this :pac: )

15 minutes well spent good sir!!

    Myhill
    Van Dijk Evans Bellerin
Sanchez De Bruyne (C) Mahrez Payet
    Vardy Bony Pelle

    Subs: McCarthy, Fletcher, O'Shea, Martin

2 new additions for me this week in Van Dijk and Payet. It'll be nice to not have to check the West Ham result through my fingers as I won't dread Payet appearing in the goals/assists column any more!

    AOA

    -8.

    Myhill
    Bellerin. Van Dyke
Sterling. Sanchez. Mahrez. Mané. De Bruyne.
    Vardy. Pellè. Lukaku.

Its gonna be emotional in one form or another...

Somebody come round my house and make me not captain Sterling please.

    COME ON VARDEZ!

BUIB (c). I've said it before and I'll say it again, if he doesn't produce this week he's never darkening the door of my team again!

I'm going full throttle Pulisball, benching Vardy, double WBA defence. If Vardy scores I'm going to implode

Ziegler might trump that and go for the treble treble?

One does not simply bench Vardy in FPL.

    Butland
    Gabriel Toby Bertrand
    Mahrez Mane KDB Sanchez
    Bony (c) Lukaku (vc) Vardy

    Myhill Moses Sakho Daniels

    I've chosen VARDEZ!!!!!

    Mr. P,
I was never a good singer......but definitely a lyric man.
    Nice work.

So is Costa likely to make it?

    De Gea

    Bellerin - Bertrand - Nyom

    KDB (c) - Sanchez - Payet - Mahrez

    Pellè - Bony - Vardy

Subs : McCarthy - Moreno, Dawson, Surman

I'm backing Vardez too, just can't see WBA keeping them out.

WBA 0 Leicester 1 (Ulloa) is absolutely nailed on, isn't it?!!!

Well played Mr p very funny. The best part is you were waiting patiently all night till it reached 12 to produce that masterpiece. I think pulisball will prevail but get vardy next week.
    I line up for -4
    Myhill
    Kolorav Bellerin moreno
    Sanchez kdb mane mahrez
    Vardy lukaku bony

Immovable object v irrestible force: I've gone for both.

And future thread starters take note, thats how to do it ;)

Mahrez on bench for me, strongly thinking of bringing in Martial next week, with another price drop likely tonight it will be only time before he is the lone striker, LVG too stubborn to do so this week though but may change it during game.

    Myhill
    Bellerin Kolarov Bertrand
    Sanchez Mane KDB (c) Payet
    Kane Pelle Vardy

Mahrez first on bench. Feels oh so wrong, but can't see who else to drop.

    Begovic
    Darmian Bellerin Dawson
    Payet Eriksen(c) KDB Sanchez
    Pelle Ighalo Vardy

    (Mahrez Francis Souare)

Banked transfer this week which is the first time this year. Just couldn't decide on my Costa replacement so I'll let them decide this week. May do a mini WC next week.

    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mane, Mahrez
    Costa (igahlo), Vardy

My week almost fully depends on KDB having a poor day, one of the very few still going without!

    De Gea
    Kol Bertrand Dawson
    Mahrez Payet Sanchez Mane
    Pelle(c) Lukaku Vardy

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,459 ✭✭✭T-b0n3

    Myhill
    Dier - Bellerin - Bertie
    Sanchez - Maherz - KDB - Payet
    Vardy - Pelle - Bony

Armband on KDB at the moment.

Just used one of my FT's, Martial out, Bony in.

Team was in a jock unfortunately so had to go hard to get it acceptable.

Never ever taken a -12 but it was needed i think. Probably a stupid move!

    Muniesa ----> Nyom
    Mata ----> Payet
    Sakho ----> Lukaku
    Costa ----> Kane

    Begovic
    Nyom Bellerin JOS (Or Naughton)
    KDB Mahrez Sanchez Payet
    Pellé Lukaku Kane (c)

There are still issues, but nothing that can't now gradually be fixed. Especially in defence.

Took a -12 and still no Vardy ?

    Brave man!

It's a mental block at this stage.

    Howard
    Bellerin Dawson Kolarov
    Mahrez KDB(c) Sanchez Payet Barkley
    Ayoze Vardy

    Myhill Ighalo Moreno Evans

I'm not set up too well this GW with double Leicester against Dawson and no Southampton , or the popular strikers like Bony, Lukaku, Kane. Hopefully my differentials come through, Ayoze in particular
    ElTel wrote: »

Negative. I put Howard in my WC for this week and have to play him at home to Sunderland. Just Dawson starting for me, please forgive me Tony for I have forsaken you

Great stuff Mr P, that song is gonna be forever changed for me.
Hedging my bets a bit, Myhill and Vardy starting, Mahrez benched as first sub.

Benched Martial and giving Wijnaldum another go in my starting 11!

    Myhill,
    Van Dijk, Bellerin, Dier,
Wij, Mahrez, Sanchez, Payet, KDB (c)
    Vardy, Pelle

Should be a good scoring week, but anytime anyone thinks that it seems to be a stinker!

Hoping that Leicester DESTROY Pulisball. :D
