Not overly bothered about anything other than the injuries... hopefully they're minor. Was painful enough viewing such an unfamiliar team in an unfamiliar jersey, honestly a million miles from the exploits of the past week in every way but just goes to show you can't get away with that many changes against a top half Championship team no matter who you are.

Also, it's safe to say summer is over by now, can we get the title fixed or what?

Move Sanchez right and put Gibbs to the left? Dont think we should be moving players around that are doing well in their positions lately (Bellerin,Santi,Ozil)

I think we have no choice but to start Campbell, the more we move around the more we disrupt.

We need Cazorla deep otherwise nobody sets the play.

Would hate to see the wheels come loose because of injuries again

    Me too.
Even if it was a friendly it was not good enough and they let the jersey down.

A far cry from the passion on display from our defenders against Everton. The only plus tonight is that it wasn't a league game and stronger players can come into the line up for whats a massive game v Swansea the weekend.

Would hate to see Monrael or Bellerin injured if we have to rely on what we saw tonight though.
At least we have Gabriel for the middle.

We really have nothing on the bench to change the game saturday if we need to

Gabriel is surely first choice along with Koscielny now?

Yep that's a worry, we need to try keep it together until Nov 8th, then by the game after that Nov 21 we should have Theo, Ox, Ramsey and Arteta back you hope.

If we can deal with the next 3 games I'd be confident of what we can do this season

It's heading that way but Mert has had great games recently, he always looks poor in a second string defense.

Him Kos and Gab are 3 excellent options

Theos didnt look too bad but still obviously a major doubt for this weekend.

Its a disaster injury wise. Really dont care too much about the result!

What makes you think Theo is not too bad? His looked worse than Ox I thought

Was it? I was watching it in the pub so could be wrong. Just though it looked precautionary.

Biggest disappointment about tonight is the injuries, hopefully they aren't too bad. Defensively we were very poor, but the team just didn't look bothered. We have been flying in the league and that's the main thing.

It is worrying that certain squad players were so poor, so as always injuries will be key to see how well we do this season, but you could say the same about any team. We were never going to win this cup anyway, so no real loss for me. Fair play to Sheffield Wednesday though, not taking anything away from them.

As said in the above post, fair play to the Wednesday. Played us off the park.

Worrying its only October and injuries already getting big.

Just want one season free from it. Ugh.

Ah OK, we recall Gnabry for the next few weeks.

Still an awesome first team but little or no midfield or attacking subs.

Start the usual team but with Gnabry on right.

    Then defensive subs

Flamini > One of the mids
    Gibbs > Sanchez

In terms of injury crises, it's not that bad.

    Just no more!!!

Can we? If he is recalled, no point sending him back there!

Has it come out that the ox was struggling with his hammy before that match? He always does a few hamstring stretches before coming in to the pitch, but last night he was doing some crazy single-leg deadlifts in the centre circle right before kick-off. Struck me as pretty strange.

The one thing I got out of tonight is Debuchy couldn't give a toss. Flamini wasn't far behind either. You look at that back four and there's two England internationals, a French international and a world cup winner there. Now I know they don't play together each week but we couldn't even do the basics last night. The first two goals were bad but the third just took the biscuit. If I saw my 8 year old nephew leave someone totally unmarked like your man was for the third he'd be grounded for a month - SHOCKING DEFENDING and I think it was very wrong of Wenger to say that the young players aren't up to it. His experienced players let him down big time last night.

All these added injuries will be putting pressure on the medical staff - Arsenal should troll Mourinho by hiring Eva :pac:

I think he knows he will need his experienced players so he didn't knock them too much

Debuchy is really after throwing in the towel since he lost his place it's very disappointing

How did this get past our medical team?

Even if he said he was ok they usually do range of motion tests to see how tight the players are

    Strange he was let play
