As night follows day we'll lose to Stoke, lets just make that clear so we can avoid the needless meltdown when it happens. :o

We won't. They play football now.

Listening back to the OTB football show.

It's only a month or two since Gilesy was on saying Arsenal should get rid of Ozil right now (then).

    Good one, John.

Move on people, unfair to be talking about posters when they're not around to defend themselves.

Isee Cech has reached 170 clean sheets, that's hella impressive.
    Well done Cech!
(Of course, most of them were for Chelsea but whos' counting, eh?! :D )

I was just checking out David Seamans stats.
He is 4th on the list with 142 BUT he played 233 Top Flight games for Arsenal, QPR and Birmingham that are not included so he surely has 200+ clean sheets but no mention of it.

I realise its a Premierleague record but unfair on Spunky and main others before him

Accounts closed and posts deleted I'm guessing? I must have missed some drama during the darts!

    Good one, John.

    So stupid.

Like even when he wasn't as good as right now, he was still fairly decent for Arsenal, racking up a high number of assists. Had a lean spell at the end of his first year but that was all.

I mean sell him based on that? An underwhelming few months?

Sell him? Not bench him but sell your most expensive purchase ever.

    What a twit.

Wenger just said in his press conference he will be busy this transfer window because we are short

    He actually said it

    Actual words from his mouth

Sounds good but I wonder where else he will buy?

Elneny sounds like a squad filler......... Surely he isnt going to do something wild like bidding 50m for Stones?

I think he'll be looking for a replacement to Debuchy. think he might go on loan to Villa to guarantee 1st team football before the Euros.

Think big ! From the Guardian

The Mill brought you news of Arsenal’s recent interest in Javier Hernández and Alexis Sánchez has added fuel to the fire with a come-and-join-me plea. But Arsenal, perhaps buoyed by Leicester and Manchester City’s goalless draw, are setting their sights higher. PSG’s Edinson Cavani is a target for, wait for it, £47m – seemingly the going rate these days.

Edison seems very hit and miss but his high energy game would annoy the hell out of defenders and provide more space for our other attack minded players.

    Wahoooooo :D
Now he really has to follow through. Buys could be done already for all we know.

He won't sign for us but a finisher like Hernandez would have a field day playing with Ozil in his current form.

Same with a pre-injury Eduardo. He'd be scoring 25 goals a season playing with this Ozil.

It kind of changes everything, how well he's doing.

We don't need as much quarterbacking from Santi or Arteta or whoever, and Giroud's workrate and link up play is kind of negated too.

Literally, you could almost play with 8 defensive minded players, Ozil and a finisher and do really well.

He buys us so many luxuries. We could play Coq and Ramsey nowadays, get another player with the workrate of Sanchez for the other side and a decent finisher and you have an amazing team.

I would think (hope) thats the case too. Its very unusual for him to say something like that.

No way, you need another creative outlet or the opposition will know to target and smother him.

I still don't think we an go with both Ramsey and coq

I no the Southampton game we were bad really bad but they found the template too

They man marked Ozil sometimes two players, and the pressed us high up the pitch

This is where we miss Cazorla badly and we need someone of that ilk in the midfield

( I may be doing coq a disservice here has his passing improved greatly before he got injured)

Great news that he said that. To be honest though I have never been overly impressed by Hernandez or Cavani. Hernandez is a good finisher but doesn't order much else. Cavani has missed some sitters every time I have seen him play which granted is not a lot.

They would both be good squad options but neither is that world class player we would need to have a big upgrade on theo and olly

I would prefer a world class player to play on the right than an ok player up front

He would fit right in with our strikers so :pac:

I think he would be a great signing as he does have great movement and gives another alternative. I dont think it will happen though anyway.

If we do buy a striker I bet it's none of the obvious.
Hope it's not another Sanogo though :pac:
