From today's Irish Times, text 50100 and get a code then redeem on the DAA site.

Must request code by 26/10, for use up to 26/1/16 - limited to one per mobile number.

Do you have to text a specific word or phrase?

What do you need to put into the message to request the code?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,920 ✭✭✭cee_jay

Seems to be free text. T&Cs attached.

I tried a random word and it worked. I just chanced "fast track"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,169 ✭✭✭✭Berty

I paid extra for this fast pass to travel through Dublin airport in a few weeks and to keep away from the normal peasants and now you lot are going to be clogging up the queue for me.

It says FASTTRACK on the ad, but from above sounds like it'll also work with a space in the middle. Just text that word and code comes immediately back.

Worked for me with Fast Track (including the space). Thanks OP.

Is it one code per person or can I use it with my family?

Says one code per mobile number and max value is one pass, but if you all have a mobile you could get one each?

Flying out of Dublin next month at 5.40am on a three flight trek so every minute will be appreciated. So eh, what exactly happens with Fast Track...quicker security check?

When redeeming the code, it asks you for a time and date. For the time should you enter your flight time or the time you expect to be going through fast track? Or does it really matter?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭timbertime

Cheers OP. FASTTRACK worked for me!

Its supposed to be a faster way through security, but Dublin airport is the only airport I've been to where it's often slower.

Ah, sure if it's not quicker I can always use the free Irish Times to sleep under during my six hour stopover in Frankfurt.

"Fast Track" worked for me by the way

It doesn't get you to a separate security row like other airports but just gets you closer to the front of the usual large queues.

It can be helpful with early morning flights.

Free Dublin airport fast track access and a newspaper

So the fast track is sorted but how do we get the newspaper :)

Can't get this working on my phone. If I use my girlfriends phone, will I be able to use the code without having to have her phone with me when I go to the airport?

How is the queue in Dublin Airport for early morning flight ( eg flight departure at 6:30)?

I used to catch a 6:45am flight on Weekdays morning and on a Monday and Friday the queue in Terminal 2 would always be busy, so you just have to persevere. Remember that sometimes even with Aer Lingus you have to check in through T2 security buy your flight could be going from T1 so a long walk afterwards.

Can someone post a link to where we can use the code we've been given. Bit green here in Mayo😨

As far as I know you present your fast track voucher to WH Smith.

    Thanks Berty.

Do you know if the T1 is also busy at 6:45 during weekend? or it's mostly during weekdays when it's busy?

    From Dublin Airport site:
Please note: “The term Fast Track boarding channel” refers to the fast track entrance only and does not infer faster passage through the security check.

    From T&C:
    3. Fast Track Entrance Door and Operational Times: The term "fast track entrance" refers to the boarding card entrance door at the fast track entrance. Fast track does not infer faster security clearance. Opening hours for the fast track entrance are from 05.00 hrs to 20.00 hours and may at times operate between the hours of 04.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs but this is not guaranteed. In the event of unplanned closures or disruption of the fast track operation Airport Club will investigate all issues in this matter and will update members as appropriate.
