Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Random question here.

When Carla was going through her whole 'everyone in the world hates me cos I killed someone in a fire' thing she spent all her time in her apartment drinking in her dressing gown.

Anyone know where I could go about getting one of these dressing gowns?

Its one rule for the men and one rule for the women. He could shag all around him and they would just turn a blind eye.

Didn't see last night's episodes, I presume it was more of the same. Zeedan's reaction was annoying me. The grandparents are old, and presumably more conventional, and bound by traditions / beliefs, but he was over the top.

Hope Kate Oates removes a lot of characters, including Alya and co.

Which? The Nazirs or the Platts?
    Both.

(Could get rid of the Nazirs and The Platts could do with a nice long rest.)

she probably got it from some posh hotel but I'm sure a penneys one does the job just as good.

Yes, I had seen that mentioned. I was hoping he was gone for good.

    On a lighter note
Johnny aka Mister Connor :D takes a dislike to Sal and suggests demoting her to the factory floor.

    :D

Completely agree. Unfortunately, I'd say there will continue to be a lot of focus, on both families, for the foreseeable future. Yawn.

I don't mind the Platts, and I like most of them, but i think Stuart Blackburn was borderline obsessed with them. There were times, in the last while that I thought the programme should be renamed Platt Street. :D
I just want that body under the house story over and done with. I'd say it will be dragged on, and on.

I'm looking forward to some, hopefully, lighter stuff, with some of the recent characters that have been introduced.

    Well tonight
Tony tries to make up with Liz to the annoyance of Steve.
Then TOMORROW AT 8PM OKAY! :D
Can Fiz forgive Tyrone? Liz agrees to a secret date with Tony.
So maybe there will be a break from the Nazirs and Alya's whiney mush.

I thought the scene in the toilets with the tiles falling off the wall and Steve shouting is there an earthquake was one of the funniest ive seen in a long time and then later in the pub with the lads slagging him:D there should be more of this kind of humour :)

Good god,Alya's family would want to get over themselves, the girl didn't kill anyone. They were all perfectly fine with their son marrying an ex prostitute........???

I think that's what will happen...

I can tolerate Ayla, but her family  the scriptwriters should have had them leave Corrie and the country.

Alya should have slapped Anna and told her f*ck off, Gary is a big boy now capable of making stupid mistakes also

Did Anna say that Gary had gone to hamburg, Germany? Is eddie living there?

Yes Eddie must be the best baker in Germany by now

He should return and go on GBBO

The irony of Anna roaring at Alya for being a cheat when her own son tried to cheat on his ex wife several times and left her and his son to be with Alya.

There's days when I really can't stand the woman.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,060 ✭✭✭Jikashi

Anna: Rabble rabble rabble, mah Garreh is pure as snow and would never feck up bad as you.
Alya: Aren't Gary's screwups the root reason you slept with someone else yourself, lost your partner and (looks around) don't live in this nice house anymore?
(Zeedan and Yasmeen dance around Anna going ooooohhh, while Sharif blows an air horn)

*remember that Gary clobbering yer man Phelan caused him to blackmail and financially ruin the family.

I agree. I am laughing though, picture the reactions :D!
It would certainly liven up an otherwise tedious story, being played by boring characters.

The last few weeks, I really cannot stand watching anymore, and I am a proper addict. :o

Mary and the newspaper man- WTF. Kill off Mary and the Nasirs, have her mobile home blow up next to their house or something.

The actress who plays Alya is dire. The storyline is ridiculous. Couldn't give two shites about any of it.

The Miley baby storyline was an embarrassment. Give the baby away and have the family move to Canada, then never mention it again? What was the point? Has never been so obvious that the writers regretted starting a plotline.

Think I will give up until well into the new year when the new producer takes over. Make myself go for a walk instead of watching this mush.

    Yahoo News wrote:
Coronation Street bosses are believed to be bracing for a possible mass exodus of stars following the release of a new three-tier pay system.

The new payment program is believed to see a huge discrepancy in each actor’s pay packet – a move that is believed to have already prompted stars to ‘jump ship’.

The proposed plan reportedly sees some actors earn £250,000 a year while others get £100,000 and the new arrivals just £40,000.

Well i think thats fair, you cant expect the new arrivals to be on teh same money. It wouldnt happen anywhere else.So why are they any different.

Been away the last few weeks and flicking on corrie for the first time. Must say I'm disappointed that no story seems to have moved on in that period and it's still the same as before. Calum's body being in the house is stupid at this stage. I've grown up watching corrie due to my parents and grandparents and it's just sad to see it fall this much. I mean Audery and Ken, come on!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,042 ✭✭✭SouthernBelle

There are some really bad actors on Corrie who've been there for years and I don't think they'd get acting work anywhere else! eg

Fizz, Dev, Liz, Sean, Ken, Rita, Emily

    To name but a few!

Tyrone is really playing a blinder at the moment though.

yeah its a decent storyline. Sad but realistic. Nice to see that a soap can portray something that isnt exaggerated and pantomine.

I have a bad feeling that this may come to a sad ending though.

I agree about Tyrone. I don't think Jennie McAlpine is able to carry the storyline though.

It seems about more then protecting his family, he seems to be getting a sick thrill out of it too.

I do like David though. The show would be unwatchable without him he's brilliant. The actor is wasted in soap imo. Loads of potential there

I really like David. His delivery of one-liners is second to none, IMO. I still wish he had rediscovered his tough side, when dealing with Callum. (When Callum was alive :D)!
