What a brilliant role for Sheila Hancock.
So many older actors find it hard to get decent jobs, this must be the icing on the cake at 88!
Totally agree, she is excellent in a fairly recent film called Edie, continues to get really interesting challenging roles.

The season finale is tonight right?

My VPN won't work with the ITV Hub for some reason, even though it's fine with the BBC Player

The only options I have for watching tonight is streaming

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

You can watch it live on sky just need to add channel.
I use Vpn unlimited and it works ok.

I don't think allowed to discuss specific streaming like that on these threads

Cool, I thought it was torrents. All good though, I found a way to watch it at 9 ;)

I really think something major is going to happen to Cassie. Could we see a major character getting killed off ala that other classic British drama, Cracker?

I don't see how they justify Cassie not fully retiring either way after the end of last week's episode

Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to it

Both this show and Line Of Duty have brought back "must watch this live!" TV

The ending of the case was terrific...but

    Outstanding

is it over now? haven't started watching it yet..

    That was absolutely outstanding...

Even though I predicted it in my previous post

    .....

It was still literally jaw dropping

    Incredible TV

Even if they never make another episode, it'll go down as a Brit Drama classic up there with Cracker and Line Of Duty

I would be ecstatic if it came back...but I know what you mean.
    Absolutely brilliant ending.
    Every season was a gem.

I like line of duty but this series has always been better imo, that last episode....zero chance line of duty could deliver a gut punch like that

Mods: can you add a "Spoilers" warning to the title of this thread?

Those who haven't seen it yet need to avoid it

That ending is up there with the most "Wow!" I've seen for a British show

That was so beautiful and poignant. Nicola Walker has been spectacular throughout.

Totally agree but I don't even think you need the British part tbh....outstanding and wow ending

She was outstanding, but the acting this series especially has been top notch, all the suspects, Sheila Hancock and Sanjeev Bhaskar quietly amazing

Show creator Chris Lang is Tweeting some very interesting Tweets

Would love to share, but we need that Spoilers tag warning first out of respect for those who'll see the show later/tomorrow

I read an article last week (in the Guardian I think) that said all the clues you need are in every season's opening credits

Has anyone pieced it all together based on this?

I think it's a show that'll bring great re-watch value. For example; there's some flashback frames every season that didn't make sense to me

Oh yeah it's always been like that, really good. I tend not to pay too much attention, I kinda like to see how it unfolds

Nicola Walker's come a long way from this

    She was about 24 here

I only started watching Unforgotten a few weeks ago, and quite literally binged watched the 1st 3 seasons on Netflix, then watched season 4 weekly.
Absolutely blown away by every detail. Great writing by Chris Lang, and the casting and acting was spot on.

This might sound cracked, but I loved the normality of it all.
Very little glamour, all of Cass's team were very ordinary looking, very real and could be any of us.
    Likewise with the characters.
Secrets lurking in the past, waiting for someone to discover the truth.
    Brilliant!

I think I might just start all over again and watch all 4 from the beginning.

I loved this about it too

Brit Drama tends to do this realism part of how characters look very well. But Unforgotten did it exceptionally

If this was an American show every second actor/actress would be aesthetically perfect

In Unforgotten some of them were the opposite - they were very much not easy on the eye

And the show was amazing for it
