It was people getting mortgages who had zero savings and zero record of savings, simple problem.

Im not singling out Islam here

I know, but not all kids, under any religion, are being indoctrinated in bad ****. Every ideology can be dangerous if followed by the letter.

So Ibrahim thinks muslims shouldn't be judged on other muslims, but rather on the actions of Mohamed. Hmmm, not too sure about that.

Marian reads out the newspaper headlines at 11 on a Saturday morning. Shurely that counts as news, caller?

It depended on the Law of Common Sense. As I've mentioned before, I knew there was something seriously awry with the system when the banks were calling me up and encouraging me to take out stupidly large loans. Having been through at least two recessions before, I knew the downturn would come eventually, and resisted getting in over my head. Many people thought it would never end.
I don't claim any real skill in the matter, just an expectation of things going titt-sup as they always do.

The next time Joe speaks to a Scientologist on Liveline, I'll expect him to say "Praise be L Ron Hubbard".

Well then they should have a better understanding having actually been accepted into another country.

But it's more likely that they're just idiots.

I was in the same position. I was offered loans left, right and centre. I couldn't believe the loans some of my colleagues at work were taking out. They were never going to be able to repay them whether there was a recession or not. They thought they would never have to repay them as prices would keep going up forever.
There was mass stupidity going on.

You used to even get pre approved loan offers in the post for gods sake. All you have to do was sign and return, despite you never asking for one in the first place.

Maureen wonders if anyone else in Ireland is in her situation? News - lots of people like her... except they're expected to travel to Dublin for treatments and services. And they just get on with it.

But Dubliners going the other way....?

Now that's not fair. What about Dubliners going to the Curragh for the racing, or even golfing in the K Club? Spare some thought for them. ;)
Is it hygienic to be wearing the hijab around a hospital? I suppose if you had a fresh one each day it would be ok.

probably less of a health risk than a tie

"Praise be to Allah" wtf are you talking about Duffy you absolute out and out fookwit. Whoy don't you say praise to Jesus/Lord etc when talking to a Christian caller?

In fairness, people complained that it was exclusive when he referred to Mary as "Our Lady".

There should be no mention of either on his show.
