I actually don't mind this Kane if I'm honest. I just wish it wasn't a title match.

That Rusev segment was basically punishment for him having the audacity to get engaged to Lana in real life. He loses clean in three minutes then gets emasculated by Summer. What a petty thing to do to someone who should be one of your top heels.

Feels like a Drew McIntyre situation. Rusev may never recover from this.

Rusev can keep gettin' paid and keep gettin' laid! He was the babyface in that whole storyline for me after a while! I'm so glad that that whole thing seems to have reached a conclusion. Thank God Dolph Ziggler didn't appear anywhere near him on camera tonight too.

Rusev was never going to recover since Cena stopped his undefeated streak. Much like umaga never recovered.

Could probably tune out until January and miss nothing significant.

New Day are the only thing worth watching.

So have people been watching Raw lately or what's the story? I watch the whole lot, pre-show beforehand too. I'm just curious to know is anyone actually going to tune out, stop watching.

YouTube for raw stuff and ppv/specials for me only. The odd time if I'm off Tuesday I'll watch raw but can't stand the amount of ads for the live thing

Do you find it's a hate watch for the parts that you do watch, or do you see things that you enjoy?

youtube raw top 10 and if something there intrests me ill watch the whole show and watch ppv/specials in full. just cant quite bring myself to watch a whole show lately

Agree 100 per cent. So nasty on their part and it smacks of annoyance that they were unable to break them up.

The malice that exists within this company never ceases to amaze me.

No I wouldn't hate watch something. That kind of thing is stupid to me.

I enjoy what I do watch but 3hr of raw every week is a bit too much. Especially when I find so much of it filler and there is so many other tv shows around.

YouTube for a about 10-15 min every week and I never feel like I've missed anything when the ppv/specials come round. I usually enjoy the ppv/specials

I think that watching the pay per views all year would probably suffice if someone wanted to keep up to speed with what's going on and not watch Raw. However, I find myself actually looking forward to Raw every week, and actually enjoy that it's 3 hours instead of 2.

I blitz Raw in about 40 minutes on a Tuesday morning.

I have zero to say about last nights show tbh. It was a Raw, the best and the worst of it :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Blue_Dabadee

I don't watch it live because of the amount of ad breaks.

I usually skip over any squash matches to save time such as Kalisto vs. Owens this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,827 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

In the weeks I've nothing else to do I'll usually go straight to the top of the hour segments, and watch those if they hold my attention. Other weeks I'll delete without watching anything. My interest is at a 20-year low.

7 posts while the show aired, new record low? Going to assume it was terrible

Kane pinning the WWE Champion clean in 2015. There truly is no hope. They deserve the terrible ratings they are getting. To give away the main event of a PPV in 2 weeks on free tv sums up how bad the creative has gotten. It's almost as if the agenda for the writers each week is who can come up with the best plan to make Rollins look as weak as possible, which makes no sense. Apparently he has lost 17 out of his last 18 matches and has hadn't been booked strong since he beat up Lesnar with the Authority way back in early July. He loses every week on Raw & Smackdown but wins at the PPV with some ****ery - it could not be more obvious he is beating Kane at HIAC. The level of predictability is off the charts.

Wade Keller summed it up well. "more reinforcement of Seth as a weak champion unable to get the job done with help from New Day, Big Show, The Ascension, and every other heel on the roster beating down Kane. Why would anyone take the champ seriously? There has to be a level of credibility for the champ and then play up the heel characteristics that makes people want to see him get his comeuppance, but if WWE constantly takes away any credibility, the audience loses interest. It's been the same thing for six months."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

We didn't get a Seth Rollins promo at the start of the show last night, did we? I missed the first segment of the show. It feels like what's been said about him being punished for the low ratings might be true at this stage. The sad thing is that they'll probably view the poor reaction to the show is based on Triple H and Stephanie not being on-screen last night. I can't even remember if they did come out some weeks even when they were there. It's different to where we were at years ago, because there's so many shows on now I find it hard to remember what happened on which one. Having said that I enjoyed John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler last night, and it was good to see The New Day beat Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose, pinning Orton relatively cleanly in the process even.

Yep same as. Deleted the series link I had set up on sky as I found I'm not watching it. Just reading the spoilers on a Tuesday morning. I'll give it until WM for PPVs to to cancel the network.

I quite enjoyed the Kane phone segments.

There's definitely not as much of an emphasis on it this year as there was other years gone by. Remember they actually had pink versions of wrestlers' unique t-shirts a few years?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Actually a lot of matches on that show compared to some other weeks but so little that was memorable.

Was the Diva's tag match botched at the end? seemed really weird how long after Paige and Nattie having issues that Brie pinned Charlotte. Cole tried to blame it as a distraction that caused the defeat afterwards but it was so long before the pin it really just seemed like Brie (the lesser Bella tbh) beat the champ clean with a top rope dropkick.

next week at least we should have Taker, Brock and did I see HBK promoted for it?

Brock on the podcast will be interesting too, wonder how much they will touch on Brock and Austin's own past and what happened re a mania match in Texas when Heyman was on the podcast with Stone Cold.

Yesterday was the first time in months; and only because this week I'm in a good time zone for it, and even then only because I'll be going to the Hell In A Cell PPV so I'm interested in what's happening.

Was annoying listening to it dubbed in Spanish and trying to figure out what guys were actually saying underneath the dubbing though. :D

Actually something that annoyed me this week was that Dolph Ziggler was there and the commentators even noted what happened to him last week but there was absolutely no follow up. Apparently you (New Day in this case) can beat Dolph up backstage in a 3 on 1 assault and even the man himself will let it slide.

Skipped RAW this week. Fast forwarded through it after work. Christ this show is bad.

Reigns being hung out to dry and he absolutely **** the bed big time poor guy had no chance infront of that crowd with such a **** script, Rusev jobbed out in 3 minutes seemingly out of spite, a typical bull**** Cena match, Rollins being pinned clean yet again despite having help from every heel on the roster. The divas, good lord the divas.

They deserve every ****ty low rating they get.

It astounds me this same company produces NXT.

Was just thinking that the only reason the WWE acknowledged the engagement has nothing to do with the fact that they got engaged or the fact that it was reported. I think that in typical WWE fashion these days, they just did it to show that news sites are talking about them.
They're like the Orphans in the Warriors showing people how great they are because the press writes about them. Reeeal lame

Normally I read just the headlines online about Raw then watch it when I get home.I was wondering maybe it was ruining the enjoyment for me so this week I read nothing and just put on Raw when I got home.I thought the show started out well with the opening segment but everything went downhill from there. One annoying thing was when both Ambrose and Randy stopped and almost froze while they waited for New Day to appear. Its like "ok our spiel is over, Act 2 can begin" tho I liked the way at one stage Ambrose interrupted Orton while they were going back and forth.

Like you Moneymaker, I felt sorry for Reigns as he was really trying his best but he needs to turn heel. He doesnt get the reaction WWE keeps hoping he will get.

Another standard boring Cena promo saying nothing new.

Rusev made to look like a complete chump. At least block her slap!

Rollins then pinned clean?  I couldnt believe it.No protection for him at all.

The only plus is that matches are getting longer it seems to me. Storylines are non existent though.I am typing this having just watched Raw and I can only remember Rusev getting slapped as the only thing storywise that happened and maybe Kane getting a win over Rollins while the Authority was away. A 3 hour show and thats it?

Usually this leads to a 20 min Authority promo next week about how they are back and going to punish kane. You have to wonder were they off tv so they can say they are not on when the rating are low.

    With these horrible Raws and
    Playboy dropping nudes,
    everything has gone wrong!

What country are you in watching it in Spanish, have you been in Mexico or something if you're going to be close enough to go to Los Angeles for Hell In A Cell? I often wondered what it would be like to hear what the show is like from the Spanish announcers' perspective, and whether or not when the English speaking tables introduce them if they are doing the exact same thing only in Spanish, "Por supuesto junto a nosotros aquí en el ringside tenemos nuestros colegas que emiten en Inglés , Michael Cole , la lucha libre Dios JBL y el Salón de la Fama , El Rey , Jerry Lawler" or something to that effect. Not looking to poke holes in your above statement now, but is it as simple as just watching Raw for you and becoming interested in what's happening because you have watched it? I hear people saying all the time they aren't interested in what's happening, so they don't watch it. But if you are able to pick up interest in something again when you watch a bit of it.....it doesn't make sense to me. Anyway, I'm quite antisocial so I watch everything.

I usually "watch" raw in the background on a tuesday morning when I am in work but not even doing that could get me to get through it straight this week, was taking breakxs from it like a mad man!

The reigns promo was so awful it took away from one of their most serious feuds going - he wqas like a bad stand up comedian who couldn't deal with hecklers, weak responce then stright back on script is hurting everyone!

Champ losing clean again - joy!

US Challenge used to be great for the surprise, now its the likes of ziggler - they have run out of ideas.

Rusev is properly, for all intents and purposes, buried (and I hate using that word)

Thank f*ck for The New Day!!

Yeah they announced it and put up the TMZ article and then summer rae talked about it in the ring before totally emmasculating him!

    well and truly f*cked!

Oh yeah, he was squashed in 3 mins by Ryback and then emasculated by Summer. She revealed to the live crowd he was engaged to Lana for a month and slapped him silly, making Rusev look even worse and making the whole angle over the last 2 months a confusing waste of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

But are you not all as glad as I am that that aspect of the storyline is probably finished now? Rusev might turn babyface and then reunite with Lana on-screen I think. Well, I hope.

While the angle may be over, I fear spiteful Vince will bury Rusev.

He might be the next Joke dancing Forgeiner if Vince has his way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Realistically, people were saying that about him almost a year ago, when the rumor that he was being prepared to be fed to Cena was starting to get kicked around. Wait and see I guess.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,788 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Jaysus. Speeding through, I saw Rusev get beaten, Summer enter the ring and then was like "Nope, next segment please". Saw the slap later, but didn't realise it was basically tanking their own stories.

Yes, I am happy the stupid story is over, but there's easier ways to jettison the angle. Having Rusev break up with Summer after she costs him a match and saying he misses Lana, he was a champ with Lana, wants her back etc etc....that ends the angle, and keeps Rusev sympathetic. Reading about this now....its typical WWE. Spiteful and vindictive.

They always seem to wonder why they can't create new stars; doesn't help when they stick them in a dead end angle, and then end it in the worst way possible. Idiots.

Every storyline in WWE in the past year has been awful!

The only redeeming thing that RAW ever has is The New Day.

Bray v Roman = Thought it was over a couple of week ago. I fast forward at every Bray v Roman segment.
Diva's = Just let Becky fight against everyone. She is the only one that matters to me :P
    Rusev = <boring foghorn>
IC = Wait, there is another belt going around?
    John Cena = John Cena
    New Day = Rocks
    Kane / Seth = Ooo...a spooky demon...zzz...

Come on WWE, y'know what you need to do.

Bray v Roman = I agree. It has been driven into the ground, has any promo by Bray ever had a point???? I wouldn't mind if their matches were good, but they have been boring or nothing special.

Diva's = Poor booking has KO'd any chance these girls had at an actual change in the division.

Rusev = Couldn't disagree more, while hes been booked horribly since losing to Cena (something I also disagree with btw) he could have been the nexy big heel star if booked correctly. This guy made lemonade with lemons and still managed to do well. Now they are jobbing him out, out of spite. Shocking.

John Cena = Hes been on fire this year, while still booked too strong, hes having a stellar year.

New Day = Rocks! I agree

while New Day are good, I still think they lost a bit of their edge by being pushed as faces first.
they should have been heels first in place of Bo Dallas, who was completely wasted when they had him drop his streak against R ****ing Truth!
