Was ok yeah, not the biggest selection to be honest but a solid 30 mins of perusal time. A lot of Jap import stuff which is of interest to collectors I suppose, but not me really.

Billie Holiday compilation, Aerosmith, The Shadows and Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins. Which is superb. All for 40 quid.

Thanks for the update! Is the one in Filmbase on a similar level to the one held there before Christmas?

Im not the organiser on this. I would say similar. There are two traders who I know that were there last time, cant make it this time. However one of the UK traders that has not been in Dublin since 2015s Smithfield is due to attend. He has a lot of LPs, had five tables at Smithfield, and badges this time.

The city needs a fair like that one in Smithfield again. Filmbase is a dreadful location for a record sale.

Just a note on fairs in The Bowery. If theres a gig on that night they may close the fair down earlier than 5pm. Last one closed at 4ish due to having to set up the band etc.

That is very true. The last one had a kinda battle of the bands so a number of soundchecks had to be done - hence the early finish. The aim is to finish at 5 but err to caution!
