A young friend of mine is getting his first rifle I suggested a .22 to him and I say synthetic would be a good idea he's be useing it for a few rabbits but he likes targets shooting as well so any help would be great and as he sometimes uses my guns he likes the timmney trigger so.
Price wise is not important as long as it shoots tight groups and has a nice trigger.

CZ and throw a yodave spring into it as a starter rifle

Would have to agree about the CZ, although a Ruger 77/22 is also very good (but a bit pricey).
If price is not an issue Anschutz might be worth looking at.

+1 to what German Pointer said.
    • CZ ZKM Style (composite stock and stainless action & barrel)
    • YoDave trigger kit
    • Sak MOD
    • Rings & decent scope
    • Case
Was shooting one last Saturday and 20 shots into a hole the size of a twenty cent coin.

The whole lot should come to, brand new, about €800 - €850. Second hand you'll do better. Less than €550.

Anschutz 1417 for my money - lovely short field rifle, and match grade accuracy.
