In keeping with the Benz theme. Tidy looking w124 on the face of it. (Interior could do with some shake n vac) Wouldnt be too convinced on the claimed milage. The value of these are only going to head north. Use it for the next few summers and watch the price increase.

This might be four speed. Nice spec, and a very early e10 model. €700, NCT'd till 7/17, and they're such nice cars. I'd really love this one. And its local and everything.

We had one, That should be 5 speed, being 1.5
They're a great car. I'd happily buy ours back now for what we sold it for 12 years ago.
That particular one is a it rough round the edges though.
That model has climate control, electric folding mirrors etc
They also curiously have plastic headlight lenses.

^^ re the W124 homer90 posted above - what is it with the chrome arches, or as i heard someone here describe them - 'k*****rs eyebrows" which gives me a chuckle everytime i see an MB with these godawful things...someone tell me please that they were not a factory option but a dealer fit?? I know the front wings especially of the W124 were prone to rust - do chrome arches really accelerate it? Has anyone pulled off an 'eyebrow' and shuddered at what lies beneath?
Dammit, after seeing my old 190 on the last page, i'm getting the horn again for an old school Benz..

I cant zoom in on my "phone" (it's pretty battered :P) so couldn't really confirm.

Also always best be sceptical of any potential bangernomics car.

That said it looks super clean and the tax is a great bonus for a potential buyer.

Best of luck with the sale the car is a credit to ya, looks to be in super condition for a 15 year old car hence why I posted it here

Its not glamorous; but it has tax and test until 4/17 for €300. Plus a good bit of recent work if the seller is to be believed. It could get someone out of a hole over the Christmas anyway..

Wasn't this the one that went up first at 900 then a day later the seller put it up to 1200 or 1300 and it then stayed at that price for a good while before gradually coming back down to close to the original asking price.

Now I could be wrong but that to me is the actions of an awkward seller so that'd account for the car going unsold imo.

Those Jap imports of old, I remember some Lancers would have two weird looking spots on either side of the fromt wings.

Of course it's bangernomics! Looks like it's had a rough life, but these cars are tough enough. The 2l are all 4WD, aren't they? Never a bad thing when winter is coming. I'd haggle real hard, maybe put in a low ball €1500 offer or lower if it needs the belt doing soon

I'm always wary about posting cars at the top of the budget, because usually on top of the €2k price tag you have tax, or some other expense which pushed them out of the bangernomics budget. But not in this case, as its taxed. I asked in this case bc if you factored in having the bodywork mended, you would probably be way off the bangernomics mark. I should imagine that the above car would appeal to those who aren't concerned with aesthetics though.
