Holding Silva so need to pick 2 from Richards (lei) Gomez (mnu) and Surman (bou). Opinions appreciated.

I can't see Villa keeping a clean sheet and I think United will struggle to find the back of the net. I'm expecting goals from both sides in Bournemouth's game, so I'd go with Gomez/Richards.

Kinda disappointed that my team is looking pretty templatey after wildcard this week but at least I have a differential in Shaqiri. Line out like this:

    Begovic
    Shaw Kolarov Martin
    Mahrez Sanchez Shaqiri Ayew Pedro
    Gomis Aguero(c)

    McCarthy Wilson Evans Targett

Was planning on playing bench boost this week as there were a few tough calls and all should be playing which might not be the case for future weeks (e.g. Targett) but you're not allowed play bench boost on same week of wildcard which I wasn't aware of.

Kind of got a bit screwed over by no price rises last night due to the site error which was a pity but ahh well come on Shaqiriiii

I have four injuries and no optimism whatsoever!

    Unless Wanyama scores three.

Silva's injury has given me a headache...

My choices are pair Albrighton with Mahrez, or bring in Gomez and play 4 at the back, I already have Shaw.

My gut is telling me Gomez and 4 at the back as it's likely to be a tight game. Then again, Albrighton and Mahrez could run riot.

    Albrighton all day long

Even if Rodgers told him personally this morning that is what he intended on starting with its obviously not confirmed. So annoying how people do that guess its just to make it seem more important or whatever.

Its weird that he is still getting the teams once it emerged his source was good you would have thought someone at the club would get it shut down. Seems very unprofessional of whoever is sharing it and being a fan why would you share it so early and give the opposition that extra info?

Rightly or wrongly I've decided to leave things as they are. Sanchez could crucify me now but if Silva is back next week I want him for those fixtures. Darren Fletcher is on my bench for a reason and I don't want to half heartedly use my WC and 2 transfers to play with could be enough to fix a few issues next week.

    Ruddy
    Huth - Gomez - Kolorov
    Mahrez - Hazard - Ayew - Silva
    Pelle - Wilson - Aguero (c)

Mac: Fletcher - Bassong - Mings

Should I play O'Shea or Surman?

I used to get the Sunderland team news the day before games a few years ago when someone I knew had a link to one of the players (he never told me which one it was). It was only wrong once if I remember correctly.

I do agree with what you're saying though. Rodgers could change his mind last minute, someone could be feeling ill etc so it could change.

At least Surman should get me 2 points! Have fun :)

O'Shea IMO, though some will say Surman I'd imagine.

If Advocaat plays Borini on the left side I think Sunderland's defence will start to tighten ten-fold. We are getting attacked so much down our left hand side because PVA is exposed more often than Katie Price's tits. Borini does fantastic defensive work there (as did Wickham last year) which helps so much.

Though he could also play Borini as the main striker and then that problem isn't solved. Go with your gut. :)

Even if I did get the teams for the side I supported there is no way I would share it on a pretty big forum just to get some internet points from people they will never meet.

12 transfers made. 3 of them between 11:30 and 11:45 this morning. Profit chasing wise, the WC has not really paid off. Even taking into a mass of rises predicted tonight, only looking at maybe 0.3 - 0.4 across the international break.

Already 100% regretting not captaining Aguero

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

    Myhill
    Kolarov Darmian Targett
    Pedro Yaya Mahrez Sanchez
    Benteke Aguero(c) Wilson

    McCarthy Westwood Gomez Ward

Delighted to hear Silva is out, Yaya will be a huge differential in my main league.

Guy top of my league 1.9k rank has captained Mahrez this week. The world we live in. His previous best season is 250k. This lunacy can't continue :(

Captaining Mahrez isn't exactly a crazy thing to do...

Guy top of my league has played his AOA chip with Milner and Schneiderlin in his midfield, which means benching Darmian and Alderweireld. And that's nowhere near the worst move I've seen in the teams ahead of me. Headwrecking.

Looking forward to seeing how my shiny new Pedro gets on. It's a nice feeling not to be bricking it for every Chelsea game anymore.

I have a terrible feeling about this GW... Silva was my "differential" this season. Having no City mid for this GW feels so much wrong...

It's again another GW that gives me regret for not going with the "cool" GW3 "template" WC. Everything going its way so far .

Debated a -8 for Silva to Yaya but didn't go for it in the end. I felt the sensible choice was assessing De Bruyne's impact first. If he explodes this week-end, I'd probably jump aboard and Yaya would have cost me an 8 pts hit (in & out). Have to say I'm still terrified by his potential return this week. He loves scoring against Palace as I posted earlier this week in the captain thread (I did consider bringing him in for -8 & captaining him for making the hit worthy). The other one I'm terrified by is Alexis.

    Went with the crowd on Aguero despite being somehow convinced he's gonna blank.;;

Ah well, enough whingeing. More often than not a priori impressions about our team don't match the actual FPL outcome. Here's my team
    Myhill
    Kolarov (VC) Bellerin Huth
    Silva Pedro A.Ayew Mahrez
    Aguero (C) Gomis Wilson
    Guzan ; Wanyama, Saylor, Coates

    A "controversial" -4 this week
    Payet & Benteke out
    A.Ayew & Wilson in
A mix of current form, upcoming fixtures & price rising were my criteria.
