Don't know who set it up originally or how to send an invite to the league.

    Lionbacker, do you know?

I think it was a user called Icepickle. Doesn't post all that often.
Anyway after a quick search, I found this OP from a previous year when it was run. Hopefully it will still work for any new players wanting to join.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=86381469&postcount=1

Basically all it says is the password is boardies.
    Hope this helps.

Sound, as long as it's still the same league. The description is from last year.

This thread does nothing for my complete lack of optimism with regards to the Giants Sunday night :pac:

Re-promoting this, its easier than everybody posting their picks on the thread and clogging it.

Clogging it? People posting their picks is about the only thing that keeps the thread going until Sunday night.

I say people should continue to post their picks in thread as we always have done, even if they also choose to partake in the CBS competition.

Eli usually tears them up when we play there too, but that said, when we opened the season two years ago there, his first pass was a pick straight to Ware.

    Good times.

Its turns out to be one page of the same post repeated 20 odd times. Any conversation in between the posts can get lost at times (so maybe thats why nobody posts before Thursday/Sunday). Nobody is recording it and people will only re post their original predictions later if they get it 100% correct (or 100% wrong), so whats the point really.

Anyway I digress as I don't really care all that much, I was just trying to promote the CBS league where the picks are recorded and compared between posters as to me its a little more useful.

That's not really true, pretty sure people are in the habit of posting at the end of each week with their record that week and cumulative record. Obviously nobody is recording it because it's just a bit of craic but I'm pretty sure it's just done on an honours system anyway. I signed up for the CBS thing too, but I do sometimes like to compare my predictions with others before and after on here as well, so I'd be inclined to keep it.

Finally it's the start of the season!!

Good night lined up. Gonna watch the final episode of hard knocks when it goes up on gamepass before the Steelers-Pats tonight. Gonna try and stay up for all the game or as long as the score is close anyway.

Last year I think I stopped doing predictions after week 12 or 13 and we won the SB. So following superstition, I'll probably do the same again this year :). I was going to go with a Ravens win, but just edged it to Denver because the Ravens usually finish a season better than they start. I expect the Rams will be tougher & better this year. So I'm going with them for a home win. My upset of the week call is The Bills taking out the Colts. It's a big game for Bradford to see will he start the resurrection of his career with the Eagles. He's had a tough couple of seasons, so I wish him well. So many questions, so many topics but we've got the season ahead to see how it plays out. The main thing is football is back and that's all that matters baby!

A vote for the Giants!:D

Speaking of Super Bowl though, I'm watching it again right now. 4 mins left in the 3rd Quarter, and Seattle are up 24 - 14.

I had forgotten how much it seemed in their favour for a while.

Unprecedented for a Commissioner not to be at the season opener. Hopefully someone will buy Roger some balls for Christmas.

Meanwhile, Brady just spotted coming onto the field at Gillette....

Ugh, Sky's coverage is going to be excruciating this year.

It's 90% "hey, did we mention there's games in London this year? Here's a British dude who plays football."

Then it's 5% "here's a random footballer who was forced by the league to talk to us this week."

The remaining 5% is Neil Scrawny Birdface telling us the key to the game will be whoever scores more points.

It's better than no coverage at all though.
