Great day again today here near Tralee , cloudier then yesterday and breezy but good clear breaks in the cloud which cleared to Cirrus towards evening. Warm getting up to 20.3C ( 20.4C yesterday ). Low 12.4C

Windy all day from the SSE so probably getting a bit of Fohn effect to just shove up the temp a degree or so ( gusting to 46 kph in the afternoon )

RH down to 61% during the afternoon, 77% atm

    No rain

Rather pleasant average Irish dry day with sunny intervals and variable cloud from time to time. It felt much cooler than the last two days though.

    Grange's 10th September 2015 statistics

    Max. temp: 17.4c
    Min. temp expected: 10.2c
    Sunshine: 7.1 hours
    Rainfall: 0.0mm

September 2015 so far has been very dry up to the 10th though the first three days were somewhat wet. It hasn't been particularly sunny but rather average, due to days like the 5th, 8th and 9th mixing with exceptionally dull days like the 3rd and 4th. Extremely cold, however! It has been my coldest start to September on record with a deviation of average with -3.0c. Whilst 2008 had cooler maximums, it had higher minimums and is now in second place.

Grand day here near Tralee, felt warm and breezy and more humid then of late. Reached 19.3C and still mild at 15.2C

Rain started about 18.00 and had some heavy pulses already with 7mm so far ( must say didn't expect the orange warning for rain tomorrow ) Wind light at present but windier earlier getting up to 41 kph SSE

Quite mild, 15.7C here at half eight, lumi signature is showing 17.3 C in Galway currently which would be pretty respectful for a July evening never mind September.

Just checked the radar image for "23.00" - still the same one!

(I should probably take this to the "All things ME" thread....)

Checked - http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ - it does appear that front is stuck in almost exactly the same position.....

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,099 ✭✭✭✭Oscar Bravo

The SE wind is really holding the front up! its raining in Louisberg since 8pm, yet almost 3 hours later it was still dry in Castlebar. gonna be some real high totals about tomorrow!
