What a waste of police time. It's a feckin scratch on a car for Christ sake.

9k of damage and it's a waste of time? I'm sure you'd say the same if it was yours buddy.

As much as I might think spending 100 grand on a car is the height of decadence, I understand that the cost is relative, so if you're making a 6 figure salary, it's justified.

As other posters have said, this is down to begrudgery, pure and simple.

I hope he gets suitably punished.

Yeah, totally. No point in the police responding to any robberies for under £9,000 either I'd say. Should free up police for real crimes.

Rolling me pram, me don't give a damn.
Look at the rich man with his V8, thinks he's great,
Well Imma slide my key along his shine, cause I wish it were mine.
What you mean my picture in the paper, is this a caper?
No way, the God damn cash man, had a fcuking dash cam!
Look after you mum son, have some courage, Daddy has go eat some porridge.

Had to read this twice before I got that it was supposed to be rap.

Why is this news ? Thousands of cars get keyed year in year out. I doubt they would be out looking hard for the guy who keyed my banger.

In fairness it's local news for London, it's not like it's a top headline or anything.

Hell, this isn't even 'First World Problems' - this is '0.1% problems'.

    Yes. The BBC London news.

Yeah the BBC.CO.UK London news would not reach people.... Sure no one ever looks up stuff happening in London.

I'm not sure what your issue is here. Should the BBC not have a dedicated section for different parts of Britain? Or should London news be hidden from the rest of the world for some reason?

2 hours ago the story was updated saying "A 48-year-old man has been arrested after a £100k Aston Martin was keyed in Hackney, the Met Police said."

Hopefully he will have to pay for it

I'm not the one that was caught out trying to make some point. This is clearly news from an important part of the UK and will get wide coverage as people will look at the London news. It's not like it happened in some tiny town that you could say was local news.

Will never understand this. How is the child going to be raised if this is how the father behaves? Disgusting.

So how should London news be reported?

That's not what one was getting at and now is backtracking.

Why would he do this though? i dont understand

How am I backtracking? You asked why it was news, I took that to mean "why is the BBC reporting on this relatively minor crime".

I pointed out that the story is from a subsection of the BBC site that reports London news.

Childish jealousy most likely. That or a personal grudge against the owner.

A child is more expensive than an aston martin anyway but you don't see me going around keying babies

doesnt look like he can afford it tbh, he shouldnt be doing something like this in the first place

You have to admit it's tempting when you see a really nice one.

Apparently it's a very expensive pram so perhaps he can.

Meh, if she bought a convertible in Ireland then she probably deserved it.

i have an MX5 why would you think i deserve it to be keyed?
i also have a bike should it be keyed?
or my house it has a barbecue for nice days should it be keyed?
