No it's not, he can't see out of his eye.

I feel horrible for Riggs but it's definitely a no contest.

Doubt it he should lose the fight

    Can that decision be appealed?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,350 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

Injury clearly didn't come from the kick

I know but he was in dominant position, but i see your point .

    Should've been a no contest.

I don't agree, the eye was already f*cked, the heel hit him in the jaw, not the eye.

When a fighter cant see out of an eye its perfectly right to stop the fight..

Eloquent Effing and jeffing from Riggs there.

You HAVE to protect the figters as much as possible. If it went on his eye could got worse and he could end up with permanent damage.

Jesus that's a grim attendance for the early prelims, looks around 1/3rd full.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,549 ✭✭✭jcd5971

Yeah and i agree your probably both right fighter safety comes first (you and sub )but I just felt sorry for him was all as he was winning.

No Riggs couldn't continue so fight should have been Stallings, Its bizarre its become a DQ doubt it will be overturned to anything else either.

Well he does get a "win" on his record but I reckon he will not be happy about the way in which he got it so I agree it's a massive let down for him.

It was just a combination of odd events.

I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't sign up for BT sports in time for this card, streams are bloody horrible.

Fight Pass has all prelims you'll have to pay extra for the PPV though.

How much extra is the main event if you have fight pass?

The event costs the same on ufc.tv regardless of having fight pass or not.

15.99 for SD -17.99 for HD

Clay is so raw and aggressive and entertaining on the feet but he has absolutely no ground game.

    ya, shocking.

For someone with a long amateur boxing record Clay's punching is so wild and erratic.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,683 ✭✭✭Subcomandante Marcos

Ah, lovely cuddles at the end.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,350 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

Ya Clay at times especially earlier on looked like someone having a laugh sparring and not in an actual fight lucky if it doesn't cost him attempted nearly 220 strikes landed just 80 madness.

    Edit: It did cost him...Clown
