That antenna is a VHF design and you're lucky if you get anything like the amplification a tuned antenna will give.
Still, they're half the price of the Poynting:
    Byonics Micro-Trak VHF Antenna V6

You could do a similar design adjusted for 4G, but if you know which direction the mast you want is in you'll probably get better results with a Yagi like this : http://bcbj.org/antennae/lte_yagi_diy.htm

I made this, On Meteor 4g. My download went from 12/13 mbps to 60 mbps. The secret is to use ferrite rod which acts as an amplifier[IMG][/img]6ifs4w.jpg
So, you didn't make that, at all.
Did you actually make something similar?

    Hi guys.

Semi urgently need a high quality 4g dual connector antenna. Budget up to 100e.

Ideally next day postage. No Chinese delivery stuff. Any ideas?

Good quality stuff from Germany, which is likely where I'll buy one from.
    Either Wimo

I think I'll get that 60072, which will suit me being 5 or 6km from the mast.
    Made in Europe, too.

Or, another supplier I've dealt with, good kit...

I've got my eye on a pair of these...
http://www.thiecom.de/pro56-lte-umts-richtantenne-dc-gounded.html Not sure where it's made.
Unfortunately, the Thiecom website is an awkward mess and only in German, but the sales staff are fluent in English.
