Its something that gets on my wick.
If people borrow something...return it! (In the condition you got it).

Atm I've a neighbour that borrowed the slurry tanker and didn't return it. That's over 3weeks ago.
Inverter welder to another neighbour, not returned...
Hydraulic pulley drawer borrowed since harvest (July), not returned.
Above are the items that I remember, how many have I forgotten...?

In fairness a good neighbour will always return the favour.

Used to have a neighbours trailer so much that he once got it for a day and left it back.

We both started farming around the same time and used to lend stuff all the time.

Now we both have all our own stuff.

watch out for them skirts you'd never know what's hiding underneath them!!!
if I was given the choice of chasing skirt or a nights sleep nowadays I wouldn't have to think to long about it.

There was a lad getting on a bit in years and used have a reputation for chasing women a good few years younger than him.

One of my neighbours told him he was be like a dog chasing cars.

If he caught one, he wouldn't know what to do with it:D

Started raining ariund 4 am and hasn't stopped since. Getting harder too.
If enniscorthy gets flooded again they may do something about it

Is yours a big river? Ours is about 12 ft wide or so with anywhere from 1st to 3ft water in places

Insane rainfall here also, about as bad as I've seen the roads in a good few years. 2bh I certainly wouldn't worry about doing the above unless it happens regularly, you could sink silly money into it, for what actually economic return?

You must have needed it as well tho when ya went looking for it!!!

Ha the exact same here have loan of 1 (could have done with 2 but didn't want to be too cheeky so bockety ring feeder as well) will be finished building work by weekend so will wash it and drop it back to him Tbf he didn't need it and there's never any bother with him - it will actually go back to him better than I got it cause there was a bar rotten out of it and I cut it out and put a whole new 1 back in...

I've about 1/2 an acre of wet ground full of rushes in the middle of the farm here, I'm sorta sick of looking at them by now 2bh, I'd say it does actually make sense to spend the 5k for a new drain to solve the problem, but other lower hanging fruit to fix before that.

Ah no. One field has alot of springs in it and needs to be drained the hole way down to river so water can flow out if pipes. That fiekd needs reseeding. Only grew like 9t this yr. No point of its going to get ruined the winter after its reseeded
Water kills the perennial grass to. Just leaves ye with scutch

No not going, seems to be a good number of dairy stock on done deal dunno if that's normal for time of year or if milk price has lads changing tack a bit? I spose it Could be that lads may have had planned to have stock for sale with quota gone, would be a way of using outside blocks and that.
You buying a few replacements or upping numbers legwax? How.d your first year back in milk go?
