Just ordered a 950 as upgrade to my 1520. Didn't want the XL since it's too big (the difference in numbers might not be noticeable, but my pockets suffer). Wish it wasn't Friday today =\

Been told that the XL comes with a free dock - but not the standard 950 - from Vodafone. Anyone know if that's right?

Regardless of where you get them, you should be able to claim a free Display Dock through the pre-installed Lumia Offers app, if you claim before 31st January 2016, and with a "while supplies last" disclaimer attached.

Looking forward to confirmation of this actually going through, I've only seen the offer on the MS Site, but saying that, they're also the only ones who were selling the XL.

Well I received mine (within a couple of days of ordering, I add!), but then I bought mine via Microsoft.

Guess we'll find out what happens on Monday when we see if the Lumia Offers app is on the Voda rom :)

950 doesn't get the offer via Lumia Offers on Meteor, I guess it's only 950XL that gets it.

From the last review I read,I would only want the dock if it came free.

It's an overall review of L950/W10/Continuum.

Yeah Im still not sure about wasting an upgrade on the 950.
Reviews seem less than positive but then again reviews can be biased.

Anyone care to share their real life experiences with the 950--Its a free upgrade on Meteor that Ive been saving.

Thanks, to be honest that wouldn't put me off - I already know the limitations and for what it can do right now, that's useful to me.

Although to save shelling out 100e on the dock I've been looking at usb-c to hdmi cables and looking for reviews of that experience.

What phone are you moving from?

Do you need a change or doing so just for the upgrade?

If you had a 930 I dont think its worth changing to the 950 at the minute. I think W10 runs much better on it. Battery life is also better, the 950 is needed charging twice a day. The usbC is very good though and fast. The camera is good as you would expect but can be bugs from not starting correctly, or saving pictures slowly to the external memory.

Anything else or details just ask

That's fair enough, but thus far, the dock seems to be little more than an elaborate miracast device. But that maybe MS has more planned down the line.

But the 950 seems so littered with hardware and OS faults, I'd be very reluctant.
Will need more feedback from current owners/users.

Once you've changed the region, you need to launch search and flip Cortana on in the settings. Give that a shot.

Also, the US version is the best Cortana :)

For some reason, I lost the ability to get the US Cortana (Jen Taylor) several builds back. I'm stuck with the British voice actress and she doesn't have half the personality.

Her voice is better yes but the content is regional.

So just picked up the VF 950XL. Happy to confirm that the Lumia Offers app is installed and provides a code for the display dock, it's showing out of stock at the mo on the MS store, so I'm going to be refreshing for a while :D

Let me know how it stacks up against the 1520 as I have an upgrade pending but holding off to see if it's worth it (It's Lee)

Has anyone got the 950Prepay in any of the Meteor stores? Can't find it in stock anywhere and its not online with them either.
