I have the Deerhunter Sneaky suit.

It's very light (simply mesh with artifical leaves attached), and once the under clothing is dark then provides good cover. I found myself able to stalk up on deer without any fear of being seen. It has a face veil and poacher pocket. Not very sturdy but good for holding gloves, hat, etc.

They are a little too light for heavy cover. they would tear easily if caught on barbed wire or heavy brush. Not to expensive, even considering the manufacturer, at €70 per suit (or so).

I find myself using the top moreso than the full suit, but i also have Deerhunter Camo waterproof & insulated trousers so not a major issue.

Yeah I think I'll give it a go, they are good value alright especially compared to the Jack Pyke stuff.

Whats the sizing like with this gear, I've found a set at a decent price, just want to make sure I get the right size.

Was consider purchasing the Deerhunter myself for a while - gets very good reviews. I want it for summer shooting- something light & effective for decoying and bunnies.

All sites & reviews advise to go for a size larger than your normal clothes size....makes sense I suppose when you are putting it on over normal clothes.

I bought the full suit this morning on e-bay for total of €42.15 including P.& P. and exchange rate

I am getting it posted through Parcel Motel from U.K.. much cheaper.

    He has 3 left.

What size did you go for?

I'm normally L-XL so should I be getting the XXL-XXXL?

    Pretty good price.

I'm 5'10", 46-48" chest, 36" waist, and 30" leg. I normally take an XXL in most tops and 36" waist trousers but I have the L/XL (that is what the tag shows the size as) size in this suit and i'm just shy of swimming in it.

The arms and legs are the perfect length but the space in the suit is huge. Even with heavy clothing underneath there is more than enough room. So go for the size you normally wear, at the largest.

Its a good price alright, I've been keeping an eye on them for a while, Sportsman Gun Centre in the UK are listing the Sneaky stuff as discontinued, that may be the reason?

    L-XL it is then!

    Could be.

The young lad is growing like a weed. He is 14 and already has an inch on me. I bought him one recently as he wanted his own and got it for €50 (IIRC) for a similar reason. The RFD told me it was his last one and after it he won't have any more. I thought he meant he is no getting any more, but maybe he meant he cannot get them.

I find mine more useful during the summer months when decoying. It's light enough you're not sweating but gives enough cover when in a hide. During the colder winter month my heavy clothing gives enough pattern break up, but as it's so light (the sneaky suit) you could still wear it over your heavy clothing with no extra sweating issues.

Careful buying from sportsman , it can be a bit of a disaster , i have had problems with them ie. stuff not delivered and telling you something was sent and after 4-5 emails telling you its not in stock and it was a mistake, pity because they have some great bargains.

I found dealing with SMGC to be easier if you ring them rather than order online.

I ordered XXL - XXXL ........... in normal clothes I'm XL - XXL so went for the biggest size they had.

It's pity they don't have XL - XXL ......I'd have gone for that.
