What structure does the revenue appointment take?

Is there more testing or a medical after the first interview?

With Dublin bus as a spare at the moment, applied done all the tests, just waiting to here back.

Might have picked this up wrong but your employed by DB as a “spare” driver?

Have you not got regular hours then? Strange when DB cannot deliver there own service...

Spare drivers get texted their duty 24 hours before it starts.
Reasons for missed trips in Dublin bus are usually outside their control. Heavy traffic being the main reason.

I was wondering about this too. Does anyone know the vision requirements of the medical?

Did the email say what the medical would be like?
Is it blood/urine test looking for drugs?
Or is it a more complete medical testing all sorts of things?

Ya the vision test isn't too severe, have to close one eye and read the letters kind of thing.

And yes there is alcohol and drugs urine test.
Don't think i had to do bloods.

There is a hearing test, breathing test and blood pressure and one or two more bits.

Eye tests were heavily focused on coloublindness. Urine was tested for drugs.

Anyone on here waiting on a panel? Cork Waterford or Limerick....wondering when the next regional class starts?

    Start of june.

Is it just a colour vision test or is it visual acuity test with each eye with the other covered etc?

I had interview for revenue protection last Friday. Thought it was ok. It was just a general competency based interview.

Completed phase 2 testing yesterday, I think I done very well in all the VSE tests. Didn't do as good in the SCAAT but I think I would done okay.

One of the staff said that interviews will commence next week and run throughout February.

Has anyone done the medical yet? Some are saying they have been asked to do a medical before being interviewed?

I think it is more to do with timescales. The email made it clear that medical appointments are difficult to get.

Failed medical ensures no interview saving time, maybe it’s trying to fit in the appointments as ye say

Also be aware of any Alcohol and drugs in your system, as you will be screened for it.

Yeah, but if they do the interview first and then fail the medical after they have still wasted time doing the interview. Whatever way you look at it, it works out pretty much the same

Everyone that has posted here that has actually gone through the process had said it is urine only.

Bloods/liver is something you find on Google. They are not looking at that.
