But she's not EU resident! This regulation is across all over the EU.

The line from middle earth is starting to break up now..........

Just want to make sure the local habits that she's picked up, are replaced with different ones.
Seems fair enough, but the fees are eye-watering.
In a similar vein, a German vet I knew had to go through all the US exams in Idaho, or wherever it was she moved to. Cost her about the same, about ten years ago.

Could she not do the course in NZ where she's living and working?
Could it be that she wants to come home and do the course on the cheap at our expense and then fcuk off again?

    Sounds like Miriam O Callaghan

She went abroad.. She's outside the Ts and Cs

Why can't she do her Masters in New Zealand?
Is it because it doesn't have Trinity College on the bottom of her piece of paper?

if she's got all these little sidelines then she can afford it- suck it up. it's probably 18K for everyone, but the tax man pays half if you are resident

If she comes home does she realise she will be paying 62% of her income on various taxes.

Come on home and help us pay back the Germans

We can't bring people home, they educated way too many people in skills that the country will never ever need.

If you didn't have these rules there'd be nothing to stop someone emigrating for 40 years and then coming back here and paying the reduced rate without having contributed to the economy in the intervening time.

I was moaning about my sore knee, when the farmer I was talking to showed me his leg. Feck, half of it wasn't there - got caught in a thresher or something.
    Fair shut me up.

Boy, do I have a daughter for you!

The thought of somebody whacking balls will have Butters crossing his legs.

Joe sounds slightly disappointed that the sheer power of LL didn't get an art gallery resolution, but makes it sound as he's claiming some credit for it.

".....from anywhere in the world..."?........is Ireland too small for Joe now?

Was listening in the car earlier and only catching up with the posts now.

Yes Ireland is too small for Joe, nobody listens to him here anymore.
Hoping to go worldwide, and with the increase in potential audience figures his numbers might improve. After all 1% of Ireland is small 1% of the world is massive. So to speak!:D

So boardsies, those of you who read my musings will probably have come to the conclusion by now that I am a right kranky boll0x. I'm honestly not, but I literally do have a pain in my boll0x, and not just from listening to Joe.

I'll not be around for the next 2 and possibly 3 weeks as I'm having an exploratory operation on Monday next (ironically scheduled during Lahv Lahn) and most likely a follow up later the same week on my...as they say in Dubalinese...."goulies". For over 6 years (not a typo) I have had undiagnosed pain in my left testicle. I've been pushed from pillar to post, consultant to consultant, condition to condition all with no positive indication of the cause. I've had MRIs, ultrasounds, etc. and dozens of physical examinations. In that 6 year period I've had more females touch my testes than have touched Ron Jeremy's, unfortunately for me none have done so in an erotic manner. Oh and before anyone ask, no I didn't stand to attention in any of those exams - trust me that was the last thing on my mind, so to speak. I've been to see consultants in the US, Norn Iron and the U.K. and it is to Britainshire that I'll be heading on Sunday for this latest intervention so to speak.

I will be thinking of you lot more than you'll be thinking of me (!). All I ask in my abscence is that you not let Joe away with his BS and call him out on it as often as possible and in the most vitriolic of terms, as usual...so to speak.

Best of luck with the tests and outcome Butters.
