Yes, and the justification commonly trotted out by supporters of the 'talent' and their high payments was the amount of advertising they could bring in because of their popularity.

I saw tunnel vision Joe yesterday as he pulled out in front of me on the coast road in Clontarf in his Jaguar XF.

He then went through a red light, so it seems when you're one of the highest paid RTE presenters you are immune from work and traffic offences!
