Some FAQ; (For the UK mostly as no ROI details have been announced yet.)

    When does it launch?
AMC from BT launches 28th August 2015. Programmes start at 7pm.

    How do I get AMC?
    Sky UK: Channel 192 (SD)
You need to be a subscriber to the BT Sport Pack on Sky. AMC is currently offered to subscribers "at no extra cost."

BT TV: Channel 381 (HD), 332 (SD). As of 18/08/2015, not all BT TV customers can see the channel yet.
You need to have BT phone, broadband and BT TV (e.g. a BT YouView box). AMC will be one of the channels that you receive streamed through your internet connection (the same way BT Sport is provided to your box). AMC is currently offered to subscribers "at no extra cost."

    What's on?
Opening night schedule - 28th August
    7:00pm Dan in Real Life
A widower finds out the woman he fell in love with is his brother's girlfriend in a breakthrough film for Steve Carell.

An adaptation of the cult memoir of game show impresario Chuck Barris, in which he purports to have been a CIA hitman.

    11:15pm The Killer Inside Me

    .
Fear the Walking Dead will premiere on 31st August at 9pm
Rectify will follow on 1st September at 9pm.

But you'll be able to watch the series premiere of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead on BT Showcase, Freeview channel 59 on 31st August 2015, as part of a promotional campaign by BT to raise awareness of the new AMC channel.

BT Showcase has its own FAQ - more information here.

no its not part of the setanta pack on satellite

the channel will be blocked on 'other channels' from 7pm on monday

BT Ireland is Sky's wholesale broadband provider
That is the only chance of seeing it on a Irish EPG

we seem to be entering an era of american channels launching to a UK only audience. First it was Spike TV and now AMC TV.

We should never be grouped with the UK to begin with when it comes to tv rights for that reason alone.
