They go for fairly high amounts. Expensive, but he could get it. TBH, the irish market is a bit small, I'd have it for sale on MCN too, he'd probably get it.

I think this thread needs a new rule to post screenshots of the ads. Its currently a thread of dead links! :D

I found this particular "bike" yesterday on Facebook marketplace

    32870246_1013532002127533_2809962252961054720_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=607dccb922e780f08ba20346079cf077&oe=5B858980

    https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/623189221350676?surface=product_details

Can it even be classed as a bike ?? He wants €350 for it

At first I was going to assume the bike was in literal top-notch condition with a bunch of extras, but nope!

Also, the '94 Honda Shadow for €1,900. Bike looks like a total wreck.

    Assume you bought it then.

I don't know who's buying these overpriced bikes because I have an add on DD for a very reasonable price and most of the interest comes from " sending my email I pay you full price friend ".

It's an SP1 that's basically brand new, I don't know how much bucks they go for but I doubt it's overpriced

    Anniversary colours!!!
    1999 was the anniversary.
    Sp1 (red one)came out in 2000.
A lad near me had the silver one back in the early 00's.
I wouldn't pay a fraction of that price for one of them.
If I was to pick an SP it would be an SP2 in Castrol colours.

I would have thought that's a joke but a bit of googling those things fetch mega bucks, he won't sell it in Ireland though he will have to export

Is it just the Paris Dakar one as I' sure I've seen R100's go for a few grand..

I'm open to correction but I don't think the PD was produced in all black.

A mate of mine has one, they're a labour of love and almost nothing (spare parts) can be bought in Ireland or the UK for them.

If anyone ever drank in the Gypsy Rose before it closed you'd have seen it outside, later wrapped in camo to protect its original paint work and decals.

They did come in Black but weren't as popular. That one doesn't even have the original forks or wheels on it. Your man is way off the mark with the price !!

Also does not have original engine
“Re-engined some time back with the smoother 800cc unit”

They still make serious bucks in mint condition
You will get one in Germany for 5-7k in good condition

Exactly, it might be on paper, but it’s got an 800 engine now, here’s something half the price

What's the story with gypsy Rose are lads going in getting tanked and just driving home?
