My big problem with this is that it's early access. IT's implied if stuff is released for this you get it free.

Totally agree it's alpha stage, and DLC is not really fair at this stage of development.

I wish they would focus more on stability and performance for highly populated servers rather than more content for the moment.

Maybe even move to beta stage and release etc

tbh i dont think their will ever be "a release" but what i will say is this is probably the best supported early access game ive seen. Everything is constantly added and stuff added too. I just wish theyd say it

Well had a bit of a look around at a few articles and the general reaction to the DLC tonight. The response on the internet seems to be 99% negative. But then you look at sales and the expansion is selling very well from what i gather.

Personally wont be buying any extra content until the game reaches release,if it ever does,then ill re visit the DLC and see if its worth picking up. Shame as this kinda shady stuff puts me right off these days

im not buying that, they can **** off i even got my friend a copy of this game when it was like 30 quid, it's really bull**** that an early access game turns around and release's a paid dlc. finish your poxy game with the money we paid and stop screwing around. I dont even think your actually allowed to do this on steam ? it seems a bit bizzare that they can

They really pi$$ed me off with that DLC.

The game is not even finished yet, still not properly optimized and they release an early access DLC at a separate price to an unreleased early access game? wtf?

I was hosting a server that averaged 20 people per day and it's now decommissioned as it enraged everyone with their bull.

I got plenty of time out of the original game but I doubt I'll ever go near a wildcard game again.

yea same here i have over 800 hours in that game, i always go back to check out the updates got a few friends to buy it, they keep releasing buggy unfinished content like the primitive + dlc and survival of the fittest instead of working on finishing what we all paid them for. And the comments from their own community manager i seen on reddit and the comments from the dev's about it they can get fecked im not going to bother with it anymore. It's double dipping shady as feck practices. I hope steam address it's terms of service now because this means anyone can start bringing out paid dlc for unfinished games :mad:

Steam makes money from it regardless, so I doubt they will.

I don't play ARK myself but a lot of my friends do, and they're going ape**** about it. None of them have gotten the DLC and won't be playing much anymore (so they say anyways).

Personally moved to Rust now to see if that's any good. Spent half hour running about naked so far. By time I found my friend it was time for bed

it's not as stable as ark but I'm liking the change of pace.

Apologies if this is the wrong post / thread but im looking to return to Ark and am on the lookout for an Irish / UK / EU based server or community. Is this still active or are there any recommendations? Looking for anything 5x or there abouts nothing too out there or easy but dont have the time to grind away with official or vanilla settings.

I shutdown my server when the expansion came out.

Not really interested until they do something big with the game, as the current state is terrible

yea i jumped into it the other night a friend wanted me to try it again but i just logged out when i seen people flying around on scorched earth dino's kinda ruined the whole Jurassic feeling seeing mythological crap shooting green fire around the place.

Havent played since the expansion either,i wonder was there a big drop off in players or did the expansion attract new ones.

I played before but gave it up. Thought it might be nice to have a go at it again.
