    Tested it there now and the load time is reduced dramatically to a couple of minutes and all aspects of the game seems to have improved, draw distance is much better than previously.

    Primitive + patch due in a day or two maybe

    New ETA is by the weekend.

    I was hoping to get this out earlier this week, but at the very least this will be in you hands by the weekend.

    - Current patch notes:
    FIXED - Standard fire still does not burn poultry or fish meat
    FIXED - Unable to paint anything despite having the options to select paintable areas.
    FIXED - Cooked Meat spoils to Cooked Meat before being Spoiled Meat (should be renamed to Old Cooked Meat like the fish)
    FIXED - Cooked prime spoils to Cooked Prime before spoiling to Spoiled Meat. See above.
    FIXED - Invisible seed icons
    FIXED - Hunting knife does not work.
    FIXED - Pitchforks disappear when thrown
    CLARIFY - Missing primitive+ items (stairs for example)
    FIXED - Dinos will not eat fish or poultry
    FIXED - Lumber gateway not functioning correctly (Gate Doors are out of place)
    FIXED - Lumber Ceilings cannot be built
    FIXED - Cannot hold Viking Axe
    FIXED - Feather, Fire and Obsidian arrows do no damage. When fired no arrow is shown yet it is consumed.
    FIXED - Carbon cannot be put in miners box
    FIXED - Concrete Foundation prevents player from going through doors. It is too high up. Even removing doorway, players cannot run through 1 wall height of clear space. Foundation needs lowering to wood level.
    FIXED - Barrel has no texture
    FIXED - Sloped cement roof tiles cannot be placed.
    FIXED - Lumber chairs are invisible.
    FIXED - Rolling Pin on the cooking table has no texture. Grey checkerboard.
    FIXED - Big Bonfire cannot be placed.
    FIXED - Water Tower (steel) does not fill when it rains.
    FIXED - The "Base Seeds" icon for the "Organic Oil" engram on the "Handmill" is just a very bright square.
    FIXED - Lumber Mill only gives a tiny amount of XP when crafting. ??Intentional??
    FIXED - Steel Ingots" and "Crystal" will not go into the "Miners Box" for storage. "Brick", not listed on the structure, will.
    FIXED - "Fresh Spare Ribs" and "Fresh Poultry" will not go into the "Feeding Trough".
    FIXED - Primitive grill states only crude oil on engram, but when placed it states firewood can be used, which is not the case.
    FIXED - Primitive grill does not accept poultry meat.
    FIXED -Terror Bird and Pelagornis do not drop feathers.
    FIXED - Lumber Glass Pane engram image shows what appears to be a door way. When placed, it is actually a wall section that is clear.
    FIXED - Longbow is not able to hold any arrows
    FIXED - Small storage boxes can be run/walked/clipped through similar to the stone fences. Tested with human players and dinos. (dodo walked through it)
    FIXED - Metal hammer torpor seems too low.
    FIXED - Behemoth Brick Gate way not Behemoth sized. It is the size of normal Dino Gateway.
    FIXED - Brick Behemoth Gateway comes under 'Stone' on construction table, which some may not immediately look at when wanting to make a brick item. Would perhaps consider moving all brick items to the construction table, as well as under their own 'Brick' category.
    FIXED - Apiary structure placement issues
    FIXED - Steel safe placement issues
    FIXED - Beer crafting and size of beer
    FIXED - Wine crafting and size of wine bottle
    FIXED - Bonemeal fertilizer states required engram of 'Mortar And Pestle', yet it cannot be made in this item, it is made inside the Hand Mill. Consider changing required engram to Handmill.
    FIXED - Obsidian spear disappears when thrown dealing no damage.
    FIXED - Lumber walls cannot be placed over any other wall type except its own type. States the area is obstructed.
    FIXED - The Ground Cashew and Cashew Milk engrams are not displayed.
    FIXED - Simple Shotgun engram is listed but serves no purpose (no shotgun type weapon).
    FIXED - Steel safe comes under the wood category. It is not wood.
    FIXED - Fermenting barrel could be a little more descriptive on requirements to make stuff.
    FIXED - The various preserving items. The descriptions do not really differentiate the differences between them all, yet they do not all do the same thing. Some clearer descriptions of the items usable in the engram list would be handy perhaps as well as descriptions on the items themselves when placed.
    FIXED - Regarding Apiary placement, I've just discovered they can be placed on sloped roof tiles.
    FIXED - When making 'Jam': Putting in large amounts of 1 type of berry (with multiple waterskins) will yield multiple jams of different berry types.
    FIXED - Azulberry does not make any jam
    FIXED - Killing Alphas sometimes yields items that should not exist. For instance, some have been giving out Simple Pistols.
    FIXED - Large storage (non primitive) can be walked/clipped through the same as the small storage box.
    FIXED - Windmill is not converting grains with crude oil in (rice/wheat)
    FIXED - Fruit press is not displaying any crafting icon for making grape juice. Nor is there an engram to learn for it.
    FIXED - Stone fences (big and small) allow you to walk through them as well as dinosaurs. Shows a checkaboard texture when placing (assume this is normal?)
    FIXED - Adobe foundation has similar clipping issues to the cement foundation with door ways. Have to crouch to walk through.
    FIXED - Preserving campfire works without any fuel in it.
    FIXED - No new items from current release - Saddles, Stairs, Fishing rod etc

    So went onto the gaellords server for the last few nights,gather rates are awesome,never been on a server with levels that high.

    Got myself a a base going,im enjoying the island life:)

    Cementimg paste is proving a bottleneck trying to upgrade to metal structures,also need crystal for a fabricator and i dont know where to find it. Still to tame a dino at this point,wanna grab a flyer soon as im sick of running/boating around!!

    Best spot for Crystal is inside skull island. Down at the bottom of it.
    Lots of crystal, metal and obsidian

    The normal one i think,port 27019 is about all i can remember. Have not tried primitive yet so unsure whats missing against vanilla.

    Whats the decay rate on structures or is there any on the gaellords vanilla server anyone? Didnt really notice anything getting damaged the two nights i was on.

    Hope to get on for an hour or two later,not many on but im enjoying building none the less. Ive never really got to the point of having a decent size base until now so its all new to me at this point.

    the server is using the in game offline raid protection. so after about 20 minutes your buildings and tames are protected.

    the standard decay rate:
    Thatch = 4 days
    Wood = 8 days
    Stone = 12 days
    Metal = 16 days

    at that point anyone can walk up and press e to demolish. its handy for admin as they can see which tribes have left and then just wipe all their stuff to keep it clean.


    to reset the timer you just need to login and be near it.

    Ok,cheers for that. Ive mostly played SP so not really up on this stuff.

    Also im getting a version mismatch on the primitive+ server with the primitive+ mod,game asks to auto restart to use the conversion but when it does it doesnt connect to the server. I have the mod installed but unsure where im going wrong. Any hints where i should start?

    Scratch that,its just hanging at the main menu.

    The mod and map both showing as installed,have server added to steam favourites,when hit connect loads up game with primitive+ main menu,asks to accept a direct join invite,hit accept and it just hangs there?

    Stumped as to where im going wrong here:(

    did you download the primative + dlc, and when you open the game bottom right theres a option to switch the prim+ version that lets you connect to the servers but they take a while to load at the moment like 10+min

    Had to undo the conversion and load it back up then amd it worked.

    I am BoB...

    Also stayed up way too late playing this game,10 hour shift now after 5 hrs sleep:(

    Ah,the would be king....ha ha

    Man me and my mate were hard at work last night,mostly got a base together and starting to refine a decent amount of metal for decent tools. Have to say the centre map is very impressive,it definitely feels larger in scale and looks/runs really well. We should be on regualr enough,my mates son will probably be on during the day too messing around.

    I have a stag about level 250. I died last night and then couldn't find him. I spent nearly an hour flying round looking for him before heading home to go to bed...find him less than 100 metres from my raft :o

    Dying while lost in the dark is **** craic altogether!

    Still no dinos tamed yet,hopefully get some over the next few days.

    Yeah i agree,not being able to see s**t trying to run back to your body is not great craic,definitely adds to tension though! I was laughing last night when a pack of 2 raptors kept killing me and my mate for about 15 minutes though till we finally downed them,lost all our gear but my mates reaction was gas. Couldnt see them coming at all and kept getting rekt close to the base!

    yea i like night time, it really adds to the game. I tamed two Plesiosaur last night, then spent ages trying to find crap for silica pearls, really not a lot of trillo bites around, since you cant scuba down the sea anymore its kinda hard to get them. Will have to make the underwater breathing buff. If anyone needs a hand with anything tho gimmy a shout in chat i wont actually try flay your skin :-p

    i try and avoid mods to save the hassle , as to get rid of some = map wipe.

    however the pub mod is something worth looking at and it its more than likely something not going to be brought in by WC.

    Have a good few mod's running on my server and have had no real issues with them.
    Only issue that's been a bit of bother was structures plus updated. All buildings got removed. But I have hourly saves and a quick restore returned everything.

    Thankfully, it was over night and nothing rolled back for anyone.

    Other than that, all 13 of our mod's are solid.

    I do like this game but its still early access and they want to release an paid expansion

    Get the game out of early access before you start selling expansions!!
