Wijnaldum officially signed for newcastle, very good signing and one to keep an eye on.

Absolute steal imo. He's a top player.

United fee for scweinsteiger is rumoured to be 5million sterling.

    Very good buy.

    Exactly what they need.

I see him starting pretty much every game.

Schweinsteiger has mistake written all over him. Thirty, loads of injuries, moving to a faster and more physical league. At least he'll be cheap enough I guess.

Would have been a great signing on the pitch 3 or 4 years ago but now I'd say the biggest impact he'll have will be in the dressing room. Great for the young lads to have a winner like him to look up to.

Even if it's €14m as being touted, its pocket money to United. Its as close to non-risk as it comes. We'll save about £30m this year alone with the wages of RVP, Falcao and Nani off the books. Or Big Ed can just sign a new sponsorship deal to cover it :P

Alot of people said the same when gary mc allister was signed by Liverpool just because a player is older doesn't mean they can't bring something big to the table for a club.

Great signing for Newcastle alright. Fits the bill perfectly for them in terms of what they need and what type of player they usually sign.

Schneidelin will be a more important player for United with 10% of the excitement.

I think the majority of fans realise that but it still is a coup to get Schweinsteiger and fans are rightly excited by it.
Good business done by United so far this summer.

Seems a weird one. Wonder did he have second thoughts about how much playing time he'd get?

Take a dip into the Utd super thread and I don't think you will find many underestimating the importance of signing Schneiderlin.

That, and thinking about how it could negatively impact on his England career maybe?

Just meant that he is young, and if he is a success they should profit from him even though the fee is the 3rd highest fee they have ever paid.

As a captain at Villa he'd obviously be very aware of the double demotion - no captaincy and a bit part player. He is probably doing the right thing.

I agree with you, just slagging the Toon.

Surprising a more, um, upmarket club wasn't in for him.

If Schweiny can stay injury free then even 15m is a bargain for a guy like him considering his ability and presence in midfield. Exactly the type of dominant CM United need. I can't see him staying injury free though, especially in England.
