The 134000 is the full overnight rating which includes anyone who watched a programme before 2am regardless of whether they watched it exactly as broadcast or at a later time. Medialive only give the live adult audience. You could add 50% or more to some of the Medialive figures once you include children and adults watching slightly later in the day.

Would love to know how VM Sport is rating - if they're even getting 20,000 for games, I'd be shocked. It is bizarre that having won the rights to European football, Virgin Media then actively choose a poor time slot for their own FTA game!

I wonder about this, I'm surprised UEFA allows for the FTA game on a Tuesday rather than a Wednesday as before.

Virgin Media will base the success of VM Sport on new subs. Media Live might publish the monthly top 20, and VM may have paid for Neilsen Ratings from TAM.

Really just a place holder channels, they should have brought back Sports Tonight for the channel.

Virgin Media's News At 8 averaged 97,000 in its first month (as part of its second reincarnation).
Pretty decent figures which I'm sure they would be delighted with.

The Liam Miller tribute match got 100,000 on VM3 between 2pm to 5.40pm. Nation's League matches on VM3 bringing in more an audience than the FAI Cup semi finals did on RTE.

Big rise there for VM1. Can't really think of anything big on it that would have seen it rise so much. Maybe News at 8 doing lot better than Xpose was.

RTE1 down a good bit, so too RTE2. The gap between RTE1 and VM1 is probably as close as its ever been.

It's very bad for RTÉ ONE to be down in September, a new season should see a rise in it audience from August. VMT one/TV3 have been up at around that mark before but the smaller margin between both is due more to RTÉ1's loss of audience (though VMT one's retention and increase in audience is to be commended). It will be interesting to see how VMT TWO and RTÉ2's margin shrinks.

Always think as soon as The Apprentice started on TV3 RTE gave up on RTÉ2's Monday Night. We talk about the lack of direction on Virgin Media but RTÉ2 hasn't had a clear identity for at least 10 years.
