I may have to go out soon and this may have run it's course.

It was Alexander Von Humboldt. Many towns and cities called Humboldt, an ocean current, glaciers, plants etc. A fascinating, and often forgotten, character who I would recommend reading about.

Somebody post a question to keep things going.

It was a long time ago that I read a very early Colin Forbes' novel about a Matilda tank during the retreat to Dunkirk. But I've always remembered it.

    Who was Adam West's butler?

That would be Mr. Alfred Pennyworth. Of all the Alfreds in all the Batman fiction my favourite image is still the one of Alfred (TV series) wearing a mask.

I'm also a comic fan so, yeah, it was a bit easy for me. :)

Another easy one (cos I can't get my brain in gear yet today)
We all know the Shannon as the longest river in the country but what is the second longest one?

A great question. I had to run through a few in my mind but settled on the Barrow or the Suir. Barrow it is, from me.

What was the name of The Merchant of Venice?

Trying to rack my brains here, I know there was an Antonio in it.

Can't remember which character he was.

Shylock was another charcter, don't think he was the merchant though.

Clue - he was not Irish.
