This is an easy cinema-related one.

Lauren Bacal in To Have And Have Not. If you want her character name though, I'm not sure.

Edit: actually now that I think of it, it's probably not the name, but I think Bogart called her "Slim" in it, so that could do for character name.

Yes, that was her - that's the film in which Bogey and Bacall met for the first time. :)

Okey doke, as we're on that theme, they (Bogart and Bacal) stared in four films together - To Have And Have Not being the first. What were the oher three?

One was The Big Sleep. I'll have to think about the other ones.

    Casablanca

Key Largo and The Big Sleep are correct.

    Casablanca isn't.

No, not Casablanca, Ingrid Bergman was in that, and Katharine Hepburn was in African Queen and Audrey Hepburn was in Sabrina. I can't think of the other two films they did together... and it's driving me mad!

In fairness, probably the least well known of the four. And the only one I've not seen myself.

A clue if you want it:
Agnes Moorehead (Samantha's mum :) ) was in it.

    A second clue:
    Two word title

The second spoiler doesn't really help,
    Agnes Moorehead
was a brilliant, well-established actress waaaaaay before her role as
    Endora
    ! :)

Oh, I know. Orson Welles discovered her if I remember right. Never quite hit the A list, but was always about. But I still think of her as Sam's mum first :)

I'm assuming it's after the Labrador region of Newfoundland, Canada. Like the Labrador current.
