Brno SA22..? restricted or not restricted

    This little semi auto 22nd are feed from a magazine tube that's contained behind the trigger group? So according to the law it is a bullpup..wff..
    Although no firearms expert would describe this as a bullpup rifle..

    Any thoughts...

    You're confusing the law with common sense or technical expertise.
    Under Irish law, the magazine is behind the trigger, so it's a bullpup and thus restricted. Same as the Browning Buckmark and probably quite a few other firearms that no firearms expert would put in the bullpup category. Same principle as how noone who knew anything about firearms would define "assault rifle" the way it's defined in Irish law.

    Think it's the Browning. Brno don't, afaik, do one like that.

    No matter who makes it remains a lovely little gun.. its just a real pity that the justice committee hasn't sorted out these obvious errors in the legislation..
