If you watch BBC they were constantly showing the table as it stands.

Hardly needed , 20 minus score difference here and you have it. So we still need 13 for level 14 to go top.

Think Fitz should have gone inside to be honest. Think Henshaw thought he would likely be bundled into touch.

Could've gone inside or if Henshaw had straightened and given Fitz would've been in too
    Either way we butchered it.

He did well first off all and was going into touch. Please don't criticize everything he does just cuz he's replaced Zebo

He made a mistake and we lost possession. I wasn't the only poster to comment on it.

What does Ireland need to win by to win championship?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,775 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Not sure why Fitz took the time to stop two pick the ball up only to kick it again!

We're playing super rugby, lovely left-footed grubber from Henshaw, then a decent kick from Fitz.

Penalty to Scotland but we're playing good stuff.

At least 21 and then hope England don't win by 17

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,073 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

The key point from the match so far is that Luke Fitzgerald is single handedly coordinating the downfall of Irish rugby by calculatingly opting for the wrong decision every time he either gets or is near to the ball.

Oh, either that or we've started really well and we're 10-0 up after 11 mins.

We need to win by 21 to get ahead of Wales. But England can still win it later against France if they win well.

I'd say he did it because he was uncertain as to whether or not he should kick it.

But picking it up would draw the cover towards the ball and open space for the kick either way, which is a nice unintended benefit.
