Absolute morons who think this is an anti climax.

You sound like an eclipse hipster. Never thought there'd be such a thing.

A total eclipse will be visible from the Faroe Islands

Apparently not! They couldnt see anything there with clouds (per RTE news).

Edit: jesus ahahahahaha the RTE news just had an outro to the news of the eclipse with "total eclipse of the heart" playing in the background. God I love the wackiness of this country.

the worst thing about this eclipse is that I've had "total eclipse of the heart" stuck in my head for the past two days.

    Turn around...

They would hardly be able to type a reply if they did.

    :pac:

Although there were 70 cases (uk figures) of sight loss following the 1999 event.

Not surprised about the clouds, it's Ireland after all.

There was a couple of minutes during the eclipse where the cloud cover was just right so that you can look at the sun for seconds without hurting. Got this with my phone's camera.

It's was lovely in my neck of the woods all week and then the heavy cloud was out in force this morning. Fecking typical.

Here's the picture I was on about earlier on in the thread.

I tried using a colander to view the eclipse.

I think I've strained my eyes.

Love that RTE News used Bonnie Tyler as background music to the images.

If that had been the sun, and not the horse, I was going to call you out on that.

What was Bonnie Tyler thinking of?

Yeah I'm thinking the difference between 95% and 100% must be like, well, night and day...

read somewhere that the difference between 99.9% and 100% is huge

Wah wah wah wah all the way home. Did you expect the sun to arrange weather conditions for you? I assume this is Enda Kenny's fault.
