    Targets mainly of im honest. The tactical Remington was recommended, would love opinions on this gun.

    Tikka T3 tactical in .223 with a 1-8 twist would be a good choice. Iv never shot one but there said to be a very well made and accurate rifle. there's a good few lads on another forum who have them and they sing there praise.

    Midlands range will let you shoot out to 600 yards which a good heavy barreled .223 should be capable of.

    Howa 1500
    Remington 700
    Savage 110/111
    Tikka T3

    Do you want a drop free magazine? This is something you may want later on down the road.

    You may find that it was cheaper in the long run to buy a T3 with a drop free magazine than trying to upgrade a 700 or 1500 with a new stock and bottom metal.

    With that said, I like my hunting rifles to have an internal magazine.
