Walker/Nordemende TVs that do both Saorview and Satellite

I am hoping to buy another spare TV for the conservatory that will not get that much use, and I would like to have as little cables and boxes around as possible.

As a result I was hoping to get a TV with both terrestrial and satellite tuners. Ideally I would like one of those new Samsungs that have FreeviewHD and FreesatHD, but its hard to justify the cost:(

I was looking at the Nordmende and Walker sets in PowerCity and see that some of these have both tuners.

Anyone know if they can receive HD on Saorview and on Freesat? Or just the SD channels?

These TVs will work with Saorview & satellite HD channels.

    They aren't Freesat TVs though.

It is worth noting too that the Walker has 2 year warranty, unlike NordMende (SOGA withstanding).

So the tuners are both HD? Good to know.

And it was a slip with calling it Freesat.

Got myself a 5 month old 2nd hand Sony W706 at a very decent price.

It has a satellite input but not Freesat so only NOW/NEXT but I can live with that.

    Cracking looking TV.

This thread might be worth a look. There's mention of a W705 model with EPG for sat. channels via the internet.

Yeah the guy that sold it to me mentioned getting a 7 day guide on the internet for the 706.

    Pity my German is shi'ite.
