Yeah, the Sony has a FTA (free-to-air) satellite tuner, but it's not specifically Freesat, a branded product that adds 7 day TV listings and a pre-determined EPG arrangement.

The Sony will tune in all the FTA channels, but you'll have to arrange them whatever order you wish afterwards and only have Now/Next (if even) programme info.

€599 in Currys while Sale is on, cheaper than Amazon.

I have this tv and it works grand for FTA satellite even without Freesat built in. I use the online guide instead

How are the channels arranged? ie FTA channels and seorview etc. I want channels to be accessible without having to select aerial or satellite in menus first etc.

    Thanks in advance.

One push of the Digital button on the remote swaps between Saorview and satellite. No need for going into menus

Should check around locally to see if you can get a good price on it and see if they can add the 5 year guarantee and free Soundbar.

They're quite a good set, Sony seem to have upped their game more recently.

Just wondering how you are getting on using this TV for the Free to Air channels and Saorview? I'm getting rid of UPC and I have this TV so want to know if just getting a dish & Saorview arial will do me. Can you record shows using this TV? Series Links?

Eurotronic sell this TV at Newry with 5 years warranty and soundbar, I think, less than Amazon.
Amazon does not sell 5 years warranty with this TV
It is not Freesat and channels are not in Freesat LCN order and no automatic channels added.

I have Sony Bravia 32 smart TV, there is a Sony channel editor on the German Sony site

    http://www.sony.de/support/de/content/cnt-dwnl/prd-tvhc/sony-editor/sony-editor

One button push changes between sat and terr,

7 day EPG available on sat and terr, sat EPG when connected to Internet.

You can record from the EPG but only watch that channel, you can't view anything but that channel when recording, you can choose to repeat the recording at the same time each day or weekly.

With built in WI-FI It's great for Netflix,YouTube etc, and it will play almost any file streamed to it from the home network.

Top right of the pic States 'powered by grace note'

Could you tell us some more about this TV - which model of Sony is it? Once powered on, how long does it take to pull down the EPG for the UK satellite channels?

I have a sony bravia with freeview built in. Once you tune it in you can save your favourites. You could have several favourite lists. I only saved 1 favourites list leaving out the many regional UTVs and BBCs and other duplicates so you don't have to leaf through all the channels as the tuning finds all channels some of which you can't access. The Irish channels appear all together at the top of my list. Haven't used the internet on it though. Will record only the channel you are watching to a hd which is disappointing but I might try it with a cheap freeview box - think if I tune it through that I might be able to record to that box but won't know till I try it.

I presume by freeveiw you mean FTA satellite
Use the Sony editor as posted earlier to sort your channels
