Just wondering how these work. Do you pay membership and can go anytime you like. Or is it by appointment only. How much do clays cost. Any info would be grateful. In Waterford area

Depends on the club.

Clay pigeon ranges are not subject to the same criteria as rifle ranges. Some have members, some don't others have both (members and walk ins). Some places also have club guns others you have to bring your own.

The fees change from range to range. Anything from €3 per 15 clays to €5 for 15. Some ask for €45+ for 30 birds. All depends.

Here are a list of clay ranges only and a list of rifle ranges, some off which also accommodate clay pigeon shooting. Have a look through them and see which is closest, and contact them to find out specifics.
