Oh stop lad. Sleeping pattern is gone to feck. Fell asleep for awhile, woke up, and could spend an hour or two messing about on the phone, that's most nights. Looking through threads on here I don't have time to look at during the day. I could be lying in bed and I'd think of something, so I'd google it, and then an hour has passed before I'd know it. The oul birds will start chirping soon... that's the real sign to get off the phone!

The independent have a motoring supplement. They are really driving home (pardon the pun) the fact that not everyone needs a diesel. It's their reckoning that anyone doing 18k km or less a year/city driving doesn't need a diesel. Good to see, although the 18k "threshold" could be higher.

Lol I did 19k miles last year at under 30 mpg for all of them. Will probably get a diesel though in 18 months time when my mileage will jump a lot higher.

    Sorry to hear that, Pickles.

In other news, did some non-car related stuff today.

Ahh no. It's not mileage. It's the type of driving. Of course a diesel will cope with 18k of motorway work. And it will be more economical than most petrol cars then.

Mileage is irrelevant. Conditions is key

With the lovely day that was in it decide to give the Megane its first wash and Polish came up well. There are a few marks mainly on the bumpers but I reckon I could sort a lot of them with a touch up pen. I wounder do renault do them ?

Also reversed into a low pillar and broke the reflector strip no other damage I suppose it was the least amount of damage I could do and makes a change me damaging it for a change rather than someone else.

I'm driving the s60 nearly 2 years and I'm still not used to the size if it. Parking can be somewhat of a disaster. Thing is I had a Passat and a medium sized van before and they were a doddle to park

Parking space are generally tiny in Ireland anyway for any kind of a bigger size saloon. When was starting out driving on provisional I spent a good bit of time driving a lwb hi roof renault master (the big one) made even the octavia feel tiny :pac: you would want to be concentrating driving one all the same very easy to pull the side out of them swinging tight or catch the roof either. Plus with them master they literally take zero labouring if you don't change down enough it will just full on stall no chugging or anything there was nothing wrong with it just the way they were.
