Today is the most boring day in the history of everything since time began.

No Premier League soccer to watch.
    No decent golf on.
    No serious horseracing.
Fair enough, Galway are playing Kilkenny in the hurling but it's not on the telly.
The Liverpool game is only on BT Sport.
There is athletic stuff on but it's shíte.
And tennis. But it not women's tennis. And who the hell watches that lark anyway when it's not Wimbledon?
    Ridiculous carry on altogether.

I even switched on Sky News to see if there is anything happening in the world and they're on about a plane that got lost a year ago. That's how boring today is.

Whoever sits down and decides when things are happening would want to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask themselves what the hell is their problem with the 8th of March.

    It's just not good enough.

I might have to get up off my backside and actually do things.

That's not what Sundays are meant to be about at all.

All the episodes of Columbo are on YouTube.

Just pretend like it's a Sunday from the 80's.

    True true.

Worth sacrificing decent racing today in preparation for the week ahead.

    Bored people are boring people.
You rely heavily on English soccer. Goes to prove it really.

Watch a movie, go for a swim or a walk. Read a book.

Seeing as the day that it is I'm planning to give the Mrs a good seeing to later, just like I'll be expecting next week on Steak and BJ day 😈

    Oh I'm searching, believe me.

It's either that, or copious quantities of lieutenant Columbo. :(

The President of the GAA had a good point when he said during the week that TV coverage is possibly harming Gaelic games.

There's plenty of gaelic games action on today (Mayo v Derry in the football, Galway v Kilkenny in the hurling), but people won't go to the matches, they expect the matches to come to their living rooms...

European Indoor Championships are on if you're really stuck OP!

Should have set the alarm for the Barca game pal, Messi, Suarez and Weetabix was a great combo!

I made a choice based on the contents of my wallet.

It was either Terryland on Friday night or Pearse Stadium today.
I chose to go to the soccer as it was Galway's first game back in the top flight for four years.

In fairness I try and get to one sport event every week. Whether it's Connacht Rugby, Galway GAA, or Galway United, I support them all.

I just can't afford to go to everything I'd like to.

I know it's a bit late now but Tipp v Clare was on TG4.

Fair play to Galway. One of the few teams that can stick it to KK every now and again

haha slagging of tennis when the SHÍTE highlighted above in bold is the worst possible "sport" one could watch ...
especially horseracing - absolute BILGE of the highest order.

I dunno, the 11th of January 1997 stands out as a particularly tedious day for me,all my pals went to funderland but i had no money and couldn't go,there was f*%k all on TV and i had f*%k all cigarettes :(

When I get bored I usually go and visit Politics.ie...there I can learn what atrocity 'The bad ole Brits' did to us on this date in 16... 17..18...19 whatever.
Today however, it seems that nowt bad happened to us on any Sunday the 8th of March in any year since the Norman Invasion.
Still, there's always tomorrow, and no doubt some history student is busy digging up where someone shat upon us on a 9th of March?

It could be worse...Julius Cesar had only 7 days to live on this date two thousand years ago but he didn't know it.
    (Though he was warned!)

Can't believe the monkey omitted to highlight soccer when he was talking about Shiite sports. Bunch of diving spitting divas on international women's day

Indeed, I watched an omnibus load of Judge Judy to honour women that have smashed that glass ceiling with their fists ! Respect !

Winning silver is not a fail. Is there an alternative championships on at the mo? I don't think so.

I'm guessing nobody would give a damn about horses racing each other if gambling wasn't involved.

You'd be surprised, lots of people watch it for the horses involved and not the gambling! I certainly don't need to have a bet to enjoy it but yeah the gambling can be seen as a big part of it to casual observers!
