Ops manager had a go at me today...didn't end well for him.

Then he had the cheek to ask me to push back my holidays another few weeks.

I laughed in his face. I haven't had a day off since February

I'm doing some early planning but I'm thinking of starting in Waterford then going up towards Galway and Mayo. Irish Rail do a ticket, 4 days unlimited train travel for €110, so that'll do me nicely. I did this about 5 years ago, I'll just vary the locations now.

I'm taking three days study leave, and have another 11 days to take after. The thing is, I have a few days to take in October, but not sure when, and want to leave a few days for Christmas. There's no way I'm working over it again while most of the place is off. It was dead last year. Besides, I'm on the job hunt again, so could get something in the next few weeks with days still to take. I'd still be paid for them regardless, I guess. Still, I need a break!

Sounds good, K. Did you place any bets?

Nah. My friend doesn't get involved in the betting side so I didn't either. He's more interested in the sport itself.

I'm not really a gambling man myself either.

Had a hard week myself so I'm glad that the weekend is here.
