UK Open 2015 (ITV 4)

One of my favourite tournaments of the year with the multiple boards and 'FA Cup' style open draw, huge field too. Don't feel that ITV give it as good coverage as Sky did though, Sky were much better at switching to the outer boards for close games/upsets.

Will likely see none of it as am heading to Killarney with the wife and little fella for the weekend

    Starts tomorrow...

Are all these games televised? I'd love to see Willie O Connor and Connie Finnan games. 2 Limerick lads. Willie has a tough one against Dean though.

Chizzy to win it for me. Seems to be very consistent on TV the last few months. Think Michael Smith will go far aswell.

As usual itv 4 cant televise this in Ireland due to rights restrictions. Absolute joke.

I hate these butlins(holiday camp) events! Where are the other boards??

What happened to using the reebok in Bolton? Seemed a far better setup and made a better tournament having all the boards in 1 room, having random cheers and yells going out around the room while everyone was playing.

Last Night, Barney's interview "I don't know what is going on, last night after Kim beat me I sat in my hotel room and wanted to quit darts. I got so depressed but then I told myself "Ray, your the 5 time champions of the world, go out and show what you can do", so hopefully thats me back after beating Adrian tonight"

    Today Barney 1-9 Snakebite

I wish he would f**k off, I'm bored with his seesaw like performances and constant bizarre(ok depression aint so bizarre but kidknapping is!) reasons for getting beat.

    Gilding v Suljovic
    Taylor v Wright

Few lads I follow on Twitter tipped Andrew Gilding last week. Sickend I didn't throw a few quid eachway on him now. Can't see past Taylor or MvG to lift it but I'd love to see Bunting win it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

    Bunting 10-6 King
    MVG 10-5 Peterson.

Its hard to dislike Devon Peterson, even in his interview after getting beat he's in great spirits and joking about. Its a nice break from the sly sports hype machine re: mvg V anyone

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,404 ✭✭✭mr.jingle

Some fantastic finishes by Suljovic and Gilding and barely a person watching the match instead they are cheering someone getting chucked out. Absolute morons

No sign of Taylor interviewing must have spat his dummy out,Wright has lost it in interview meant a lot to him was crying

I just seen the very end of the interview, why was he crying? To get to the semifinal?

I just seen the very end of the interview, why was he crying? To get to the semifinal?

Ya it was just an outpouring of emotion basically,Expect Bunting to defeat him now later ,nearly everyone who takes Taylor out exits next stage

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

Turned over to the football so didn't see the end but tend to agree with the thoughts of Wright putting too much emotion into the Taylor match will could effect him in the semi. Even if Bunting takes a lead early on Wright's shown he can make comebacks so it could be a great game

    Semi-Finals
    Stephen Bunting v Peter Wright
Michael van Gerwen v Andrew Gilding
    Best of 19 legs

    Final
    Bunting/Wright v van Gerwen/Gilding
    Best of 21 legs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,711 ✭✭✭Joeseph Balls

Wright's big finishing was fairly on the ball. I like Wright, in the minority I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,513 ✭✭✭seanhynes

Not affecting him so far anyhow taking out serious darts so far ,and he's nailing a couple of maximums

    Bunting 0-5 Wright haha
